Yi Room accommodates maximum 12 guests in boardroom style with one oval table. Ren Room capacity varies: maximum 50 guests boardroom/cabaret style, 100 guests at 10 round tables of 10, or 140-150 guests for standing receptions. Li Room holds maximum 30 guests standing, 22 guests at one oval table, or 3 round tables of 10 guests.
Are there mandatory security requirements and what do they cost?
Security is mandatory for larger events at £120-£200 per security officer for up to 8 hours, with 1 officer required per 60 guests. This is a health and safety requirement that cannot be waived and must be factored into your event budget.
What is the booking process and how long are spaces held without confirmation?
Spaces are not automatically placed on hold when quotes are provided. You must specifically request to hold a space on option. The venue follows up regularly and will release enquiries from their system if no response is received within specified timeframes, typically requiring confirmation within days of follow-up.
Are there minimum bedroom requirements for certain events?
Some events require a minimum of 10 bedrooms to be booked alongside the event space. Superior Shard rooms are available for £500 including VAT and one breakfast, with additional breakfasts available for £20 per person for double occupancy.
What are the food and beverage ordering requirements and pricing structure?
All dietary requirements and food orders must be pre-ordered, with specific menu selections required two weeks before the event date. Sample pricing includes three-course meals from £95 per person, canapés from £36 for 6 pieces per person, wine from £55 per bottle, and champagne from £110 per bottle.
What audio-visual and entertainment restrictions apply?
All entertainment, décor, and audio-visual equipment must be externally hired at additional cost - the venue does not provide these services. External vendors and equipment must be approved by the venue and comply with their technical requirements.
Can you book exclusive use of Level 34 and what does this cost?
Exclusive use of Level 34 is available to prevent other events running simultaneously. When booking the Ren Room, you also get access to the Sky Lounge for drinks receptions, but if other events are scheduled, access is required through the Sky Lounge. Exclusive use pricing requires separate quotation.
