Frequently asked questions

Standard venue hire is £10,000 per day, but reduced rates are available (typically £5,000-£6,000) depending on event size and type. This includes uniformed SIA security staff, cloakroom attendants, all AV equipment (9-10x 55-inch TVs, bespoke lighting, PA system, wireless microphones), furniture, glassware, and staff. Multi-day bookings receive further discounts (£5,000 per day for 7-day hire).

Maximum capacity is 450 standing (excluding staff), 360 for dinner/dance events, and 200-300 for theatre-style seating. The venue has fixed casual seating for 168 people in the alcoves. The space features one main area with 9-10 alcoves (each 7m x 3.5m) branching off, ideal for breakout areas or exhibition stalls.

The venue has a 00:00 (midnight) licence Monday-Thursday and Sunday (23:00 on Sundays), extending to 00:30 on Friday and Saturday. De-rig must be completed before 21:00 on the event day or the following morning due to landlord restrictions. Events can access the venue from early morning for setup.

Food packages include: 6 canapés £35pp, 10 canapés £45pp, 5 bowl/street food options £55pp, 3-course lunch/dinner £90pp, and DDR (tea/coffee/lunch) £77pp. Drinks packages: 3-hour beer/wine/soft drinks £35pp, open bar £25pp per hour, prosecco reception £25pp for 45 minutes. All prices are exclusive of VAT and the venue has a Michelin-trained chef.

Included equipment: 9-10x 55-inch TVs (2 on mobile stands, all linked), bespoke venue lighting throughout, in-house PA system, wireless handheld microphones, 32amp 3-phase power, 72x 13amp & USB points, and strong private internet connection. A technical operator is available on-site for an additional charge.

The venue has a full in-house kitchen with Michelin-trained chef available for all cuisines and budgets. While external caterers can access kitchen/prep areas, specific arrangements and restrictions would need to be confirmed. The venue can accommodate external entertainment suppliers and has flexible layouts for various setups including casino tables and exhibition stalls.

For larger events, there may be minimum bar spend requirements (£4,000 mentioned for some bookings). Security is mandatory and included in venue hire. Additional costs may include technical operator charges, Christmas decorations (£4+VAT per person for crackers), and any special equipment beyond standard provision. All invoices must be paid prior to the event.

The venue is designed for larger events with a 450-person capacity, making it potentially oversized and cost-prohibitive for small gatherings. For events under 35-50 people, the venue may not be suitable due to the scale and £10,000 daily hire cost representing a high cost per person.

The venue offers full disabled access via a platform lift, accommodating wheelchairs. Additional services include uniformed SIA security staff, cloakroom attendants (all included in venue hire), up to 3 bars for larger numbers, and access to the beautiful St Katharine Docks outdoor area directly from the venue.

The venue accommodates various event types including exhibitions, product launches, and private parties. Casino setups and entertainment are permitted with flexible layouts. The alcoves work well for exhibition stalls or breakout areas. Specific restrictions on certain activities or setups would need to be confirmed, but the venue appears flexible for most corporate and private events.
