What is the venue hire cost and what's included in the base price?

Standard venue hire is £10,000 per day, but reduced rates are available (typically £5,000-£6,000) depending on event size and type. This includes uniformed SIA security staff, cloakroom attendants, all AV equipment (9-10x 55-inch TVs, bespoke lighting, PA system, wireless microphones), furniture, glassware, and staff. De-rig must be completed by 9pm or the following morning due to landlord restrictions.

What are the capacity limits for different event layouts?

Maximum capacity is 450 standing (excluding staff), 360 for dinner/dance, 200-300 for theatre style, and 168 fixed casual seating in the alcoves. The venue has one main space with 9-10 alcoves (each 7m x 3.5m) branching off, making it suitable for both large gatherings and intimate breakout sessions.

What are the licensing hours and restrictions?

The venue has a 00:00 licence (midnight) Monday-Thursday and Sunday (23:00 on Sundays), extending to 00:30 on Friday and Saturday. All events must complete de-rig by 21:00 or arrange for next morning completion due to landlord restrictions.

What food and beverage packages are available and at what cost?

Food packages include: 6 canapés £35pp, 10 canapés £45pp, 5 bowl/street food options £55pp, 3-course lunch/dinner £90pp, and DDR (tea/coffee/lunch) £77pp. Drinks packages: 3-hour beer/wine/soft drinks £35pp, open bar £25pp per hour, and prosecco reception £25pp for 45 minutes. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Can external caterers use the venue and what kitchen facilities are available?

Yes, external caterers can be accommodated. The venue has a full-service in-house kitchen with a Michelin-trained chef available for all cuisines and budgets. External caterers can access kitchen facilities for preparation, making it suitable for specialized dietary requirements or specific catering preferences.

What AV equipment and technical support is included?

Included AV: 9-10x 55-inch TVs (2 on mobile stands, all linked), bespoke venue lighting throughout, in-house PA system, wireless handheld microphones, 32amp 3-phase power, 72x 13amp & USB points, and strong private internet connection. A technical operator is available on-site for an additional charge.

Is the venue suitable for smaller groups and what are the minimum requirements?

While the venue can accommodate smaller groups, it may not be cost-effective for very small events (under 35 people). The standard daily hire of £10,000 makes it more suitable for larger corporate events, though reduced rates are available for certain bookings, making the cost per person more reasonable for groups of 75+.

What accessibility features and additional services are available?

The venue offers full disabled access via a platform lift, wheelchair accessibility, and up to 3 bars for larger events. Additional services include uniformed security staff, cloakroom service, and the venue can be transformed with different lighting and décor setups to suit various event themes and requirements.

Are there any restrictions on entertainment or event activities?

The venue is flexible with entertainment options and has hosted various events including casino nights, DJ performances, live bands, and cultural exhibitions. The space can accommodate staging, dance floors, and exhibition setups. However, specific entertainment arrangements should be discussed during booking to ensure compatibility with venue capabilities.

What are the setup and breakdown timeframes and any associated costs?

Setup access is typically available from early morning (around 8am), with events running until the licensed hours. All breakdown must be completed by 21:00 (9pm) on the event day or arranged for the following morning due to landlord restrictions. Early access charges may apply and should be confirmed during booking.
