The Old Court Room is named after its original use and was once a lively scene of legal activity. Today its walls house the Inn's antiquarian books and the room offers a tranquil setting flooded with natural daylight, with views across the Inn's estate. This intimate room makes a great setting for lunches & dinners for up to 40 guests, receptions for up to 80 guests and lectures for up to 50 delegates.

Frequently asked questions

Lincoln's Inn is closed for the entire month of August and during Easter from 17th April at 15:00, reopening on 28th April. These closure periods are fixed and no events can be accommodated during these times.

The Old Hall accommodates up to 120 guests for sit-down dinners with a minimum of 120 guests required. The Ashworth Centre lecture theatre holds a maximum of 130 guests, and meeting spaces require a minimum of 30 guests to book.

Events can typically run until 16:00 with all guests departed by 16:30 for daytime events. Conference facilities are available from 08:00-17:00 with all guests vacated by 17:30, though some evening events can run later with specific arrangements.

Day delegate rates start at £91.00 + VAT per person with a minimum of 140 guests, or £104.00 + VAT per person for enhanced packages. The Conference Suite DDR for 90-158 delegates is £127.20 + VAT per person and includes room hire, AV equipment with technician, arrival refreshments, mid-morning break, two-course lunch, and afternoon refreshments.

The Old Hall dry hire costs £6,600.00 + VAT. For events requiring both the Great Hall and lawn (accommodating 100-120 people on yoga mats), the room hire is £7,350.00 + VAT for a 5-hour period (11:00-16:00).

There is a minimum food and beverage spend of £7,310.00 for some events, while larger events requiring the Great Hall and lawn have a minimum spend of £13,950.00 + VAT. Christmas packages start at £176.00 + VAT per person with a minimum of 90 guests.

Lincoln's Inn operates in-house catering only and does not allow outside food to be brought into the venue. All catering must be provided by their internal catering team, though there may be additional small fees depending on specific caterer requirements for dry hire events.

Thursdays have very limited availability, with most availability on Wednesdays and Fridays. Some weeks may have no Thursday availability at all, so flexibility with dates is recommended.

Lincoln's Inn is not suitable for sixth form proms and has declined certain event types. The venue appears to focus on corporate events, conferences, dinners, and professional gatherings rather than casual celebrations or youth events.

For dinner events, access for setup typically begins at 17:30 with the event running from 18:30-22:30 and de-rig completed by 23:00. Conference events usually allow organiser access from 08:00 with events starting at 09:00.
