One Birdcage Walk

The Council Room is available for £1,650 (VAT exempt) for full day hire from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Half day hire is £980 (VAT exempt) for either morning (8:30am to 1pm) or afternoon (2pm to 5:30pm) slots. Time extensions beyond standard hours are available at additional cost.

The Council Room accommodates up to 24 guests in boardroom style, 30 in hollow square, 40 guests in cabaret style, or 60 guests in theatre style. For dinner events with 48 people, the space will be full of tables with no room for drinks or dancing areas.

Available AV equipment includes: Full Hybrid package with 85" screen, HD camera, sound and microphones for £275; 85" screen and soundbar only for £165; Laptop for £66; Lectern for £22; and Flipchart(s) for £22 each. All AV prices are subject to VAT and include technical support from a specialized AV technician.

Guests cannot bring external food back inside the venue after going off-site. All catering must be provided by approved suppliers, with Company of Cooks being the recommended in-house caterer, or guests must use one of the venue's approved external catering suppliers.

Standard venue hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm for weekday events. Evening events typically run from 6:30pm to 10pm, with time extensions available at additional cost. Weekend hire operates on a minimum charge basis with different pricing structure.

The venue hire fee includes access to the Edwardian styled oak panelled Council Room with ornate plaster ceiling, natural light from the second floor location, and basic room setup. AV equipment, catering, and time extensions are charged separately and are not included in the base hire fee.

The venue operates minimum hire charges, particularly for weekend bookings which require a minimum of £6,000 (VAT exempt) for 8-hour access. The venue may decline bookings that are considered "very last minute and low budget" based on their assessment.

Decorations can be arranged in the space prior to events, though specific setup times and restrictions would need to be confirmed with the venue team. Any external suppliers or contractors will need to coordinate with venue staff and may require site visits to discuss setup requirements.
