The Library can accommodate up to 120 guests for seated dinner on round tables of 8 per table. The space is only available for evening hire, not daytime events.
Can I combine the Library with other spaces for drinks reception and dinner?
Yes, you can hire both the Library and the Marble Hall & Gallery together for £4,950 (VAT exempt) from 6:30pm to 10pm Monday-Friday. This allows for a drinks reception in the Marble Hall followed by dinner in the Library, then return to the Marble Hall for dancing or late-night entertainment.
What catering options are available and who provides the food?
All catering is provided by approved suppliers including Company of Cooks, Blue Strawberry, and Food by Dish who provide bespoke quotes based on your requirements and budget. You cannot bring external food into the venue, and all catering prices are subject to VAT.
What audio-visual equipment is included with the Library hire?
Basic AV equipment available includes PA System with up to 2 handheld mics and bluetooth connectivity for £198, LED screen for £165, and staging block for £55. All AV prices are subject to VAT and include technical support.
Is there a cloakroom facility available for dinner events?
Yes, there is a cloakroom available located next to the Marble Hall & Gallery. You can choose between unmanned/self-service or fully staffed service options.
What are the booking and payment requirements?
The venue requires confirmation of guest numbers and specific requirements before contracting. Provisional holds can be placed on dates while you finalize details, and the venue works up to 12 months in advance for weekend bookings.
Are there any restrictions on decorations or setup for dinner events?
Decorations can be arranged in the space prior to the event. The venue includes setup of your chosen space and an on-site event manager for the day, particularly for weekend hires.
What happens if I need to extend my event beyond 10pm?
Time extensions beyond 10pm are available for an additional £550 (VAT exempt). This is particularly useful if you want to continue with late-night entertainment and dancing in the Marble Hall after dinner.
Can the space accommodate both dinner and dancing?
The Library itself is primarily for dining, but when combined with the Marble Hall & Gallery, guests can move between spaces for dinner in the Library and dancing in the Marble Hall, which has space for DJ setup and entertainment.
