The Banqueting Hall is an impressive room by any standards. The windows, ceiling, chandeliers and oak panelling conjure up heraldic imagery and the fine stained glass windows record the room's connection with the Monarchy and past Lord Mayor of London.

For dining events the Banqueting Hall can comfortably hold a seated lunch or seated dinner from 20 to 160 guests, with a reception and drinks being served in the Drawing Room.

Weekend events have a minimum spend of £18,000. This applies to all weekend bookings regardless of guest numbers or event type.

The Banqueting Hall accommodates up to 130 guests on round tables for seated dining, or 154 guests on an E-shaped table configuration. For standing receptions, the ground floor spaces can hold up to 70 guests.

No, external catering is not permitted. Ironmongers' Hall has an exclusive relationship with their in-house catering partners, Company of Cooks, who must provide all food and beverage services.

The fine dining package costs £110 + VAT per person (minimum 50 guests) and includes: corkage package with sparkling reception wine plus red and white wine, three canapé items pre-dinner, three-course fine dining menu, coffee/tea/chocolates, filtered water throughout, PA system with 3 handheld mics, access to Grand Piano, onsite venue coordination, all staffing/glassware/linen, and manned cloakroom. Venue hire is additional at £3,400 + VAT for 6pm-11pm.

Standard evening hire runs from 6pm-11pm. Extensions are available - for example, extending from 1pm-6pm costs an additional £2,000 + VAT. Access times for setup and de-rig are included within the hire period.

Basic package includes PA system for background music and speeches, 2m wide projector screen with back projection, lectern, and up to 3 handheld mics. An AV technician costs £480 + VAT (maximum 8 hours). Additional equipment like staging or larger screens incur extra charges and require increased build time.

Christmas packages range from £140-£246 + VAT per person depending on inclusions. The standard package includes exclusive hire of Banqueting Hall and Drawing Room (6pm-11:30pm), 2 glasses prosecco on arrival, 3-course festive menu, ½ bottle house wine with meal, DJ and dance floor (music off by 11pm), manned cloakroom, entrance steward, and full event management.

The venue is open weekdays and Saturdays only. Some time slots have limited availability - for example, morning slots may only be available from 8:30am-12:00pm on certain dates. If you need a full day event, existing bookings may prevent accommodation.

Dining events in the Banqueting Hall typically include use of the Drawing Room for reception drinks. Both spaces are located on the first floor, with the Drawing Room featuring fireplaces and William Morris wall tapestry, while the Banqueting Hall has Tudor-style wood panelling, Waterford crystal chandeliers, and a minstrel gallery.

The venue operates on a first and second option system for holding dates. You'll need to provide event timings, setup requirements, catering preferences, AV needs, budget, and date flexibility. Site visits can be arranged within two weeks of enquiry, scheduled around existing events at the Hall.
