Step into a setting of timeless elegance at Ironmongers' Hall.

Welcome your guests in spectacular style in our drawing room and landing on the first floor, ahead of inviting guests through to the traditional Tudor Style Banqueting hall for a seated dinner, or bowl food reception and party. Our Hall holds up to 150 guests for seated dining events, or 230 guests for standing receptions.

We also accommodate intimate corporate Christmas lunches for Charities and smaller organisations who have limited budget in our Ground Floor spaces.

Frequently asked questions

The Banqueting Hall accommodates up to 150 guests for theatre style seating, 100 guests for cabaret style, and 130 guests for seated dining on round tables. For standing receptions, the venue can hold up to 230 guests in the Banqueting Hall. The ground floor Court Room has a maximum capacity of 60 guests theatre style, 30 cabaret style, or 26 guests boardroom style.

Weekend events have a minimum spend of £18,000. This applies to all weekend bookings regardless of guest numbers or event type.

Standard evening hire runs from 6pm to 11pm (with bar closing at 11pm). Daytime events typically run from 8:30am to 12pm or 1pm to 5pm. Extensions are available at £2,000 + VAT for additional 5-hour periods (such as extending from 1pm-6pm). Some availability exists from 8:30am-12pm for morning events.

Ironmongers' Hall does not allow external catering and has an exclusive relationship with their in-house catering partners, Company of Cooks. All food and beverage must be provided through their approved catering team.

Christmas packages range from £140-£246 + VAT per person depending on the package selected. Standard Christmas packages include exclusive venue hire from 6pm-11:30pm, arrival drinks (prosecco or mulled wine), 3-course festive menu or canapés/bowl food, wine with meals, DJ and dance floor, manned cloakroom, and all staffing. Minimum numbers typically apply (72-150 guests depending on package).

Basic packages include PA system, projector screen, back projection, lectern, and up to 3 handheld microphones. An AV technician costs £480-£485 + VAT for up to 8 hours. Additional equipment like staging (6m x 2m stage with 3m screen) starts from approximately £2,400 + VAT. Larger screens and more complex setups require additional charges and increased build time.

Corporate day packages start from £97-£120 + VAT per person including venue hire, catering, and basic AV. Fine dining packages are £110 + VAT per person with corkage included. Standing reception packages with canapés and bowl food range from £120-£153 + VAT per person. Christmas packages range from £140-£246 + VAT per person. All prices exclude VAT and are based on minimum guest numbers.

The venue cannot accommodate multiple events on the same day if one requires the full day (9am-9pm). If there's already a daytime event booked, evening events may only be available from 6pm-11pm. The venue operates on a first-come, first-served basis for date availability.

Standard packages include the Banqueting Hall and Drawing Room on the first floor for larger events. Ground floor options include the Court Room and Luncheon Room for smaller events up to 60 guests. The Drawing Room serves as a reception area with feature fireplaces and William Morris wall tapestry, while the Banqueting Hall features wood panelling, Waterford crystal chandeliers, and a minstrel gallery.

The fine dining package costs £110 + VAT per person (minimum 50 guests) and includes corkage for one sparkling wine and one red and white wine, three canapés pre-dinner, three-course menu, coffee/tea/chocolates, filtered water, PA system, 3 handheld mics, grand piano access, venue coordination, all staffing/glassware/linen, and manned cloakroom. Additional wines beyond the corkage package incur extra charges.
