Banqueting Hall is ideal for conferences, meetings, and seminars. The Hall can accommodate various setups for up to a maximum of 150 delegates. A stage can be erected at the far end of the room and full AV support is available. One particularly good aspect is the Halls' acoustics which is excellent.
Refreshment breaks,buffet lunches or evening receptions would usually be served in the Drawing Room.

The Banqueting Hall accommodates up to 150 guests in theatre style, 100 guests in cabaret style, and 26 guests in boardroom setup. The Court Room holds 60 guests theatre style, 30 in cabaret style, or 26 guests boardroom. Ground floor spaces can accommodate up to 70 guests for standing receptions.
What are the standard hire times and can they be extended?
Standard daytime hire runs from 8:30am-12:00pm or 9am-5pm depending on the space. Evening hire is typically 6pm-11pm with bar close at 11pm. Extensions are available at £2,000 + VAT for additional daytime hours (e.g., 1pm-6pm extension) and £1,500 + VAT per hour for evening extensions.
What is the minimum spend requirement for weekend events?
Weekend events have a minimum spend of £18,000. This applies to all weekend bookings regardless of guest numbers or event type.
Can I bring my own catering or use external caterers?
No, external catering is not permitted. The venue has an exclusive relationship with their in-house catering partners, Company of Cooks, who must provide all food and beverage services.
What AV equipment is included and what are the additional costs?
Standard packages include PA system, screen & projector, and up to 3 handheld microphones. An AV technician costs £480-£485 + VAT for up to 8 hours. Additional equipment like staging (6m x 2m stage with 3m screen) starts from approximately £2,400 + VAT.
What catering packages are available for corporate events?
Day packages start at £97-£120 + VAT per person including venue hire, arrival refreshments, lunch, afternoon break, and 2-hour drinks package. Evening packages range from £120-£168 + VAT per person including venue hire, canapés, bowl food, and unlimited drinks packages. Fine dining packages are £110 + VAT per person with three-course meals.
Are there restrictions on event timing or conflicting bookings?
The venue cannot accommodate full-day events (9am-9pm) if there's already a daytime booking. Some dates may only be available on "2nd option" while other clients hold provisional bookings. Availability from 8:30am-12:00pm may be offered if full-day hire isn't possible.
What spaces are recommended for different types of corporate events?
The Court and Luncheon Rooms (ground floor) are recommended for smaller conferences and meetings with dedicated breakout space. The Banqueting Hall and Drawing Room (1st floor) are ideal for larger events, with the Drawing Room serving as reception space and the Banqueting Hall for main presentations or dining.
What is included in the standard venue hire fee?
Venue hire includes staffing and event management, steward on entrance, manned cloakroom, all glassware/linen/crockery, complimentary Wi-Fi, and basic AV equipment. Security is provided on the front desk, and filtered water is included throughout events.
How far in advance should I book and what is the booking process?
The venue offers site visits within two weeks of initial enquiry to show spaces around existing events. Dates can be held on "1st option" (confirmed) or "2nd option" (provisional while another client considers). Bespoke proposals are provided after receiving event details including timings, setup requirements, catering needs, AV requirements, and budget.
