We can transform this space into a reception layout whilst you and your guests take photographs in our unique and historical venue. Frequently asked questions

The Prince Consort Rooms cost £10,000 + VAT for venue hire, with an additional £1,000 + VAT kitchen buyout fee required for dry hire arrangements. The Long Room is available for £4,500 + VAT venue hire with a £3,500 + VAT minimum catering spend that covers all food and drinks throughout your event.

The Prince Consort Rooms can accommodate up to 400 guests for ceremonies in theatre style, with the West Albert Room holding up to 300 guests for drinks receptions (terrace access weather dependent). The Long Room is licensed for wedding ceremonies up to 150 guests and can be transformed into a reception layout after the ceremony.

The venue is only licensed until 3:00 PM on Sundays. Extensions may be possible through Islington Council, but this requires separate approval and is not guaranteed.

A caterer damage deposit of £1,500 + VAT must be paid directly to The HAC by your caterer and is refundable after satisfactory post-event inspection by senior management. This applies to all dry hire arrangements where external caterers are used.

Venue hire runs between 9:00 AM and 11:30 PM, which includes supplier access times, and all guests must vacate by midnight. Suppliers have a maximum of 90 minutes to clear down and vacate after the event ends.

Due to noise protocols, no drinks receptions can be hosted outside after 9:00 PM or sunset, whichever is earlier. Terrace access for the West Albert Room is also weather dependent and not guaranteed.

Yes, The Long Room is specifically designed for this - it's licensed for wedding ceremonies up to 150 guests and can be transformed into a reception layout while you take photographs elsewhere in the venue. Your caterer would be responsible for the room turnaround from ceremony to dinner in the Prince Consort Rooms.

The venue offers both in-house catering through Searcys and dry hire options for external caterers. For dry hire in the Prince Consort Rooms, the kitchen buyout fee is £1,000 + VAT, and external caterers must pay a £1,500 + VAT damage deposit directly to The HAC.

Based on availability patterns, popular dates book up well in advance, with many Saturday dates in 2025 already unavailable. It's recommended to enquire as early as possible, particularly for weekend dates and peak wedding season months.

If your preferred date is unavailable, the venue can check alternative dates if you have flexibility. The sales team will work with you to find suitable alternative options that meet your requirements and timeline.
