The Long Room at The HAC (Honourable Artillery Company)

The HAC requires a minimum of 80 guests for Christmas parties. Groups under 80 are not accommodated for Christmas events, as stated in their booking policy for the festive season.

The Long Room venue hire is £4,500 + VAT for evening events (18:00-00:00). There is also a minimum catering spend of £3,500 + VAT, which can be used for all food and drinks throughout your event.

The package costs £295 + VAT per person (minimum 60 guests) and includes venue hire of Long and Medal Rooms from 5pm to midnight, set three-course festive dining menu with teas and coffees, three hours unlimited drinks including beers, wines, soft drinks plus bottomless sparkling wine for the first hour, DJ, dancefloor, and full festive theming and production. Black tie events may also include use of the Sutling Room.

The Prince Consort Rooms can accommodate a maximum of 700 guests for standing events. For ceremonies, the space can hold up to 400 guests in theatre-style seating, while the West Albert Room can accommodate up to 300 guests for drinks receptions.

The Prince Consort Rooms venue hire is £10,000 + VAT (weather permitting), with an additional Kitchen Buyout Fee of £1,000 + VAT. A Caterer Damage Deposit of £1,500 + VAT must be paid directly to The HAC by your caterer and is refundable after satisfactory post-event inspection by senior management.

Venue hire is between 09:00 AM and 11:30 PM, with all guests required to vacate by midnight. The venue is only licensed until 3 PM on Sundays, though extensions may be possible through Islington Council. Due to noise protocols, no drinks receptions can be hosted outside after 9:00 PM or sunset (whichever is earlier).

The Bronze DDR Package costs £160 + VAT per person with a minimum of 164 delegates. It includes hire of Prince Consort Rooms from 08:00-17:00, white or black table linen, standard AV package, arrival refreshments, mid-morning refreshments, working lunch menu, afternoon refreshments, and bottles of still and sparkling water.

The HAC indicated they cannot accommodate events with budgets of £1,000-£2,000, suggesting their minimum viable budget threshold is higher. Based on their responses, events typically require budgets significantly above £2,000 to meet their pricing structure and minimum spend requirements.

The HAC experiences high booking demand, particularly for Christmas events and popular dates. Many requested dates in 2025 are already unavailable, indicating bookings should be made well in advance to secure preferred dates.
