What is the capacity and pricing for The Studio for wedding receptions?

The Studio can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre-style seating with space for an additional 50 chairs in front. For wedding receptions, pricing varies by timing - evening events like Saturday 6:30pm-11:30pm cost £1,525 + VAT for the space hire. A technician is required at £125 + VAT for the same duration, bringing the total to £1,650 + VAT.

What audio-visual equipment is included for wedding ceremonies and receptions?

The Studio includes a large screen for projection, theatre lighting rig, and sound system. Additional AV services cost extra: projection is £75 + VAT, PA system with 4 microphones is £155 + VAT, while lighting is complimentary. The space has an audio-visual mixing booth and full technical support available.

What catering options are available for wedding receptions?

Rich Mix works with external catering suppliers as they do not have a usable kitchen on-site. There is a 10% corkage fee for external caterers. They also offer refreshment stations at £3.50 + VAT per person per service and drinks tokens at £5 + VAT per person covering bottled/canned beers, medium glass of house wine, or soft drinks.

Can we bring our own decorations and alcohol for the wedding?

External decorations are allowed in The Studio. For alcohol, you can either purchase drinks tokens from the venue at £5 + VAT per person or work with their bar service. The venue has a private bar available for refreshments and beverage service during events.

What are the minimum hire requirements and operating hours?

Rich Mix has a minimum hire of 4 hours for all spaces. The building operates from 9am-9pm, so events must finish by 9pm. For cinema spaces like Screen 3, there is a 2-hour minimum hire requirement with pricing affected by timing.

Are there additional spaces available for wedding ceremonies or breakout areas?

Yes, Rich Mix offers multiple spaces that can be combined. The Mix is located opposite The Studio on the same floor and works well for additional reception space, exhibitor stands, or catering areas. They also have The Stage, boardroom spaces (The Lab with 20-person capacity), and three cinema screens available for hire.

What staffing is included and what are the additional costs?

One event services staff member is included complimentary with venue hire. Additional staffing costs extra: technicians are £280 + VAT, and additional service staff are £396 + VAT for two staff members. Bar staff can be included within certain hire packages.

Is there a damage deposit required and what are the payment terms?

For dry hire spaces like Streetside, there is a £400 refundable damage deposit required. The venue requires quotes to be confirmed and dates held in their calendar, with follow-up communications if no response is received within specific timeframes to release provisional bookings.
