Frequently asked questions

The Snug has no room hire fee - it's complimentary. You'll pay a minimum food and beverage spend of £1,200-£1,500 including VAT (varies by event size and timing), plus a mandatory 12.5-13.5% service charge on top of your actual spend. All bottled beverages are charged on consumption and count toward your minimum spend.

The Snug accommodates up to 30 guests maximum for standing drinks receptions. This is a firm capacity limit as it's a semi-private area within The Hari Bar, not a fully private space.

Events typically run from early afternoon (14:00) to midnight (00:00), with most evening events starting between 18:00-19:00. The venue can accommodate daytime events from 14:00-18:00 or evening events extending to midnight, depending on your requirements.

The minimum spend covers food and beverages only - room hire is complimentary. All drinks are charged on consumption at menu prices, and cocktails must be pre-ordered. A service charge of 12.5-13.5% is added to your actual spend, not the minimum amount.

You cannot bring your own food or drinks - everything must come through The Hari's kitchen and bar. The only exception is bringing your own cake, which incurs a £100 cutting fee. All canapés and food arrangements must be from their menu and require pre-ordering.

The Snug is located within The Hari Bar on the mezzanine floor, so it's not fully private - other hotel guests will be in the surrounding bar area. You get a designated semi-private section with your own seating area, but the space shares the overall bar atmosphere and facilities.

You cannot bring your own DJ to The Snug as it's a semi-private space within the bar. The venue provides background music suitable for conversation, but external entertainment like DJs is not permitted in this space due to its location within the main bar area.

The venue requires pre-orders for all food and cocktails before your event. They'll inform you when your minimum spend is reached during the event. For same-day bookings, spaces may be released by 12pm if not confirmed, so prompt responses are essential.

Yes, for the same guest count you can book The Garden Terrace (fully private, £700-£1,000 room hire plus £1,500-£1,650 minimum spend) or il Pampero restaurant (semi-private table, £1,000-£1,100 minimum spend, no room hire). The Garden Terrace allows your own DJ, while il Pampero offers Italian dining.

The 30-guest maximum for The Snug is firm due to space constraints. If you need more capacity, you'd need to upgrade to The Garden Terrace (30 guests standing) or for larger groups, exclusive hire of The Hari Bar (up to 120 guests, £3,000 room hire plus £5,000-£10,200 minimum spend).
