Frequently asked questions

The Hari offers multiple spaces with different pricing structures. The Snug (semi-private bar area) has no room hire fee but requires £1,200-£1,500 minimum spend. The Garden Terrace costs £700-£1,000 room hire plus £1,500-£1,650 minimum spend. The Muse costs £500-£800 room hire plus £700-£1,900 minimum spend. Il Pampero restaurant costs £2,800 room hire plus £4,800 minimum spend for exclusive hire. All prices include VAT and are subject to 12.5-13.5% service charge on top.

The Garden Terrace accommodates up to 15 guests for seated dining or 30 for standing reception. The Muse seats up to 22 guests in boardroom setup. The Snug holds up to 30 guests for standing reception. Il Pampero can accommodate 30 guests on different sized tables (4, 5, and 6 person tables). For exclusive hire of The Hari Bar, capacity is 50-120 guests for standing reception depending on configuration.

Most events run from 6pm-11pm or 7pm-midnight, with some daytime options from 12pm-4pm or 2pm-6pm. DJ music must stop at 11pm. The venue offers flexibility on timing but standard evening slots appear to be 5.5-6 hour windows. Some spaces like The Snug can accommodate shorter 1.5-hour slots (9pm-10:30pm) for smaller events.

All food must come through The Hari's kitchen - outside catering is not permitted. You can only bring your own cake for a £100 fee. Cocktails must be pre-ordered, and all bottled beverages are charged on consumption. Food pre-orders are required for most events, and beverages are charged on consumption until minimum spend is reached.

You can bring your own DJ only at The Garden Terrace as it's a fully private space. DJs are not permitted in semi-private areas like The Snug or Il Pampero restaurant. DJ music must stop at 11pm regardless of venue. Other entertainment arrangements would need to be discussed with the events team.

Minimum spends are in addition to room hire fees and include VAT. Food and beverages consumed during your event count toward the minimum, but room hire does not. The venue will inform you when the minimum spend is reached. If you don't reach the minimum, you pay the difference. Service charge of 12.5-13.5% is added on top of whatever amount you spend or the minimum.

The venue provides quotes via email and can arrange site visits. Spaces are held temporarily while you decide, but holds are released if no response is received by specified deadlines (sometimes as short as same-day by 12pm for last-minute bookings). The events team follows up regularly and will release holds if they don't hear back within their timeframe.

The Muse includes AV equipment as part of the room hire, with HD TV and video conferencing facilities available. Other spaces may have different AV capabilities, but specific equipment details aren't provided for all rooms. The venue mentions screens can be arranged for presentations, but you should confirm specific AV requirements when booking.

Service charges vary between 12.5% and 13.5% depending on the booking date and space. Earlier quotes show 12.5% service charge while more recent quotes show 13.5%. The service charge applies to your total food and beverage spend (or minimum spend if higher) but not to room hire fees.

Il Pampero restaurant offers semi-private dining with lower minimum spends (£1,000-£1,100) compared to private rooms, but you'll be seated in the main restaurant rather than a private space. This option requires pre-orders from all guests and beverages are charged on consumption. The space isn't fully private but offers a more budget-friendly alternative.
