What are the Day Delegate Rate (DDR) packages and pricing?
DDR packages range from £55.00 to £87.00 per person inclusive of VAT (reduced from standard rates of £129.00-£189.00). The package includes room hire 09:00-17:00, air-conditioned room with daylight, superfast Wi-Fi, water throughout the day, pastries and smoothies on arrival, energising lunch, free-flowing tea and coffee, flipchart, and 3000 lumen LCD projector with 8'x6' screen.
What are the capacity limits for different room setups?
Room capacities vary by space and setup: Grand Hall accommodates up to 400 cabaret style or 650 theatre style, Cornwall Suite holds 200 cabaret or 250 theatre, Edinburgh Suite fits 200 cabaret or 250 theatre, and smaller suites like Dorset accommodate up to 60 classroom style. Boardrooms typically hold 12-24 delegates depending on the specific room.
Are there mandatory security charges for business events?
Yes, security is compulsory for all events at £29.40 per hour inclusive of VAT. Requirements are based on guest numbers: 1-200 guests require 2 guards, 201-400 guests need 4 guards, and 401-600 guests require 6 guards. Minimum booking is 4 hours and must be paid no later than 1 month prior to the event.
What AV equipment is included and what costs extra?
Basic AV includes 3000 lumen LCD projector and 8'x6' screen with DDR packages, plus flipchart. Additional AV equipment available includes LCD projector and screen from £195.00 inclusive of VAT, with upgrades to bigger screens available at additional charges. The venue can arrange quotes from their AV supplier for more complex requirements.
What catering options are available for business meetings?
Catering options include unlimited tea, coffee and refreshments at £11.50 per person inclusive of VAT, energising lunch at £20.95 per person, sandwich lunch at £12.95 per person, bacon or egg bap at £4.95 per person, and Danish pastries at £4.00 per person. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
How long can provisional bookings be held without confirmation?
The venue holds provisional bookings on joint 1st option but requires decisions within specific timeframes. Based on correspondence patterns, bookings typically require confirmation or will be released, with the venue following up regularly for updates and setting deadlines for final decisions.
What are the restrictions for ticketed events?
For ticketed events, all tickets must be pre-purchased and the venue does not allow tickets to be sold on the night. This policy applies to all ticketed events regardless of size or type.
Are there minimum spend requirements for post-meeting receptions?
Yes, for post-meeting drinks held within the venue, there's a minimum spend requirement of £3,000.00-£5,000.00 inclusive of VAT with at least 50% spent on food. If the guaranteed minimum spend is not reached, the remaining balance will be charged as room hire.
What are the standard event timings and any restrictions?
Standard business event timings are typically 09:00-17:00 for day events. All spaces must be vacated by 17:00 or additional de-rig charges apply. Setup time from 06:00-09:00 is often complimentary, and evening events can run until 01:00 with appropriate packages.
