Frequently asked questions
What are the pricing options for events at Park Plaza London Riverbank?
The venue offers two main pricing structures: Day Delegate Rate (DDR) packages starting from £70-£81 per person plus VAT (minimum 50-95 delegates depending on space), which include room hire, refreshments, lunch, AV equipment, and Wi-Fi. Alternatively, room-only hire is available from £400-£4,000 plus VAT depending on the space, with additional costs for catering and services.
Can I bring my own caterer or use external food suppliers?
No, outside caterers are not permitted at Park Plaza London Riverbank. All catering must be provided by the venue's in-house catering team.
What are the capacity limits for different event spaces?
City Suite 1 accommodates up to 150 people in cabaret style, City Suite 2-3 holds up to 96 delegates in cabaret layout with access to an outdoor terrace, and smaller spaces like Park Suite 3 accommodate up to 12 people boardroom style. The River View Lounge requires a minimum of 100 people for exclusive hire.
What are the minimum spend requirements for exclusive venue hire?
The River View Lounge requires a minimum food and beverage spend of £5,000-£6,000 to waive the exclusive room hire fee. Other spaces have minimum delegate requirements ranging from 50-100 people depending on the room and package selected.
What drinks packages and catering options are available?
Drinks packages include 1-hour unlimited house wine, beer, and soft drinks from £20-£22 per person plus VAT. Canapé options range from 5 items at £20 per person to 8 items at £28 per person plus VAT. Bowl food packages are available from £35-£49 per person plus VAT, and full dinner packages start from £108 per person plus VAT including prosecco, three courses, and wine.
Are there mandatory security requirements for events?
Yes, all events in the River View Lounge require dedicated security presence. Up to 100 guests require 2 security officers, and 101+ guests require 3 security officers. Security costs approximately £35 per hour per officer plus VAT, with typical events requiring 6 hours of coverage (£420 plus VAT for 2 officers).
What are the music and noise restrictions for evening events?
Music up to 80db is permitted until 11:00 PM, after which only background music can be played until midnight. Events in the River View Lounge can run until midnight, making it suitable for evening celebrations and parties.
What AV equipment is included and what costs extra?
DDR packages include inbuilt projector and screen, flipchart, stationery, and Wi-Fi. However, if a free-standing projector and screen are required due to room layout changes or increased numbers, additional costs apply. Integrated projector and screen with HDMI connection costs £140 plus VAT per day for room-only bookings.
How far in advance do I need to confirm my booking?
For short lead events, decisions are typically required within days of the proposal. The venue holds space as 'joint first option' with specific deadlines, and confirmation is needed quickly to secure availability, especially for popular dates and spaces.
What additional services and facilities are available?
The venue provides cloakroom services, setup assistance, and can arrange chair moving and storage for events requiring room transformations. Tea and coffee breaks cost £6 per person plus VAT, and sandwich lunches are available from £25 per person plus VAT for room-only bookings.
