For dining events requiring 120+ guests, you must use the Old Hall/Crypt which dates back to 1490. The venue requires minimum numbers of 30 for meeting spaces, and day delegate rates have a minimum of 140 guests at £91.00 + VAT per person (or £104.00 + VAT for enhanced packages).

Room hire for the Old Hall & Crypt ranges from £2,750.00 for evening events (17:30-23:00) to £6,600.00 for dry hire. All dining events require a minimum food & beverage spend of £7,310.00 to £18,600.00 depending on the event size and space used.

Events typically run until 16:00 with all guests departed by 16:30 for daytime events, or until 22:30/23:00 for evening dining events. Setup access is usually available from 17:30 for evening events, and the venue operates between 08:00-17:00 for conferences with all guests vacated by 17:30.

The venue is completely closed for the entire month of August and during Easter from 17 April at 15:00, reopening on 28 April. These are firm closure dates with no exceptions for any events.

All catering must be provided in-house only - no outside food is permitted to be brought into the venue. The venue offers various dining packages including day delegate rates, Christmas packages at £176+ VAT per person (minimum 90 guests), and bespoke dining menus.

The venue has limited Thursday availability, with staff noting 'sadly no Thursdays' for certain periods. Wednesdays and Fridays typically have better availability, and the venue can accommodate events on various weekdays depending on the season.

Security services are mandatory for certain events at £480.00 + VAT (£400.00 + VAT). There may be additional small fees depending on your caterer's requirements, and VAT at 20% applies to all charges including room hire, catering, and additional services.

The venue is not suitable for sixth form proms, and certain event types may be declined if they don't align with the venue's character. Events requiring loud music or DJ setups may have restrictions, and the venue maintains discretion over event suitability.
