What are the pricing options for different screen sizes and capacities?

Screen 5 (35 capacity) costs £1,000 + VAT for a 5-hour hire (12:00-17:00) or £350 + VAT for 1-hour presentations. The main Dolby Theatre (791 + 6 wheelchair capacity) costs £39,500 + VAT for full day hire (08:00-23:00). All pricing includes exclusive screen use, in-house AV, 5 microphones, staffing, technical support, and a dedicated Events Manager.

What technical requirements must content meet for screening?

Films must be delivered in DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format on a hard drive 48 hours in advance for ingestion. 5.1 audio is supported and preferred. The venue can accommodate videos with sound for presentations, and all screens support laptop connections for standard presentations.

What is the booking and payment process?

Complete a Customer Application Form, then receive a contract via DocuSign for signature. Payment is required before the screening and can be made by Mastercard (AMEX not accepted). Invoices are sent after contract signing.

What capacity options are available for different event sizes?

Screen 5 accommodates up to 35 people, while the main Dolby Theatre holds 791 guests plus 6 wheelchair spaces. For smaller presentations of 20-35 people, Screen 5 is typically offered, with flexibility to accommodate slightly larger groups.

What technical support and rehearsal options are included?

All hires include a tech manager to help set up presentations and technical support throughout the event. A technical rehearsal can be scheduled the morning prior to the event, and brief 10-minute tech rehearsals are available before presentations start.

What are the typical event timing restrictions and setup requirements?

Events typically run from 12:00-17:00 for longer screenings or 12:00-13:00 for presentations. Evening events can run 19:00-23:00. Staff are on-site until 8pm, after which Lucy or Charlie can assist. Setup time is included in the hire period.

What audio-visual equipment is included in the hire?

All hires include exclusive screen and auditorium use with in-house AV supporting presentation-style setup, 5 microphones as standard, digital screens for the duration of your event, and laptop connectivity. Handheld microphones can be arranged if requested.

Are there any mandatory additional costs or services?

The quoted prices are inclusive of all essential services including staffing, technical support, AV equipment, and a dedicated Events Manager. A mandatory technical rehearsal is insisted upon for larger events, scheduled the morning prior to the event.

What catering and bar options are available?

Catering options start from £16.95 per person + VAT with various menu options available. The OSCARS Bar and main foyer can provide drinks packages at £6.00 + VAT per drink, including Prosecco, wine, bottled beer, or mocktails.

How far in advance should content be delivered and what format is required?

DCP content must be delivered on a hard drive 48 hours in advance to allow time for ingestion into the cinema systems. The venue coordinates with their Events Ops Manager (Tessa Street) to arrange delivery logistics and can advise on who will be on-site to receive content.
