Situated on the ground floor in the South West corner overlooking The Mall and St James's Park, the impressive Library has high ceilings and large windows allowing an abundance of natural daylight to flood in. The booked lined walls are filled with literature dating back to 1902, from the most eminent of scholars, to new rising stars. This inspiring space really will enable your creativity to flourish.

The Library has the added advantage of adjoining the Reading Room to create a private suite with more capacity and flexibility.

For example, the Reading Room costs £1,900 VAT exempt for 6pm-10pm with access from 5:15pm, while the Lee Library is £1,600 VAT exempt for 9am-5pm with access from 8:15am. The Reading Room holds up to 70 guests for standing receptions. The Lee Library and similar rooms accommodate up to 30 guests in boardroom style. Standard daytime hire runs 9am-5pm with organizer access from 8:15am. Evening events typically run 6pm-10pm with access from 5:15pm. Additional hours after 10pm cost £500 VAT exempt per hour, and catering service before 8am incurs a £300 + VAT per hour fee.

Basic AV packages include up to two microphones and standard projection equipment. Upgrades include adding a stage for £350 + VAT, upgrading to up to 4 microphones with a sit-in technician, and additional screens for presentations. All AV requirements must be specified during booking.

The venue maintains detailed lists of Approved Suppliers for Audio Visual, Production, and Floristry, plus Recommended suppliers. Use of any third-party suppliers outside these lists must be agreed in writing by the venue before the event. This applies to all external vendors including caterers, decorators, and entertainment.

To proceed with booking, you must provide full signatory details, organization information, contact details, and address. Upon signing the hire agreement, a 50% deposit invoice is generated. You must wait to receive the invoice before making payment and quote the invoice number when paying.
