Ravens Ait requires a minimum of 45 guests for all bookings due to room size constraints. Day Delegate Rate (DDR) packages start at £75 per person for 9 hours including Thames Suite & Patio, breakout spaces, finger food, projector screen, flip chart, water, and tea/coffee served 3 times daily with pastries. Party packages for corporate events start at £70-£100 per person depending on requirements.
How does ferry transport work and what are the logistics for getting to the island?
Ferry collection and drop-off is complimentary for all events. The journey takes 30-45 seconds to reach the island. Ravens Ait operates a shuttle-style service with 2 boats running back and forth continuously with no waiting time for guests. For larger groups, a 50-80 seater boat can be booked for 1 hour on guest arrival (subject to availability).
What are the event timing restrictions and house rules?
Music is allowed until 11:45PM and all guests must vacate the island by midnight. Outside DJs, decor, and vendors are permitted. The venue cannot hold dates during consultation periods - all dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
What deposit and payment terms are required to secure a booking?
A 50% deposit is required to secure any date if the event is within 6 months. All bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis and the venue cannot hold dates during the consultation period.
What spaces and capacity are available for business events?
The Thames Suite & Patio accommodates corporate events with breakout spaces including Reception, Britannia Room, and Terrace. The Marquee & Lawns can handle larger events up to 300 guests. All spaces offer exclusive use of the island with no other events happening simultaneously.
What catering options and bar services are available?
Multiple catering menus are available including DDR packages with finger food, BBQ buffets, Indian buffets, and 3-course meals. The venue offers a 10% discount on all pre-ordered drinks. Bar tabs can be arranged and wine corkage is available for £100 for up to 10 bottles (management approval required).
What AV equipment and meeting facilities are included?
DDR packages include projector screen, 1 flip chart, stationery, and water. The venue has a state-of-the-art sound system and can accommodate theatre or cabaret-style seating arrangements. Additional AV requirements can be arranged through outside vendors.
Are there parking facilities and accommodation options nearby?
Parking information is available in a separate document provided by the venue. Nearby accommodation options include Hampton Suites, Warren House Hotel, and Crowne Plaza Surbiton. The venue cannot organize shuttle services between hotels and the island, but guests can arrange their own transport to the ferry departure point.
What are the policies regarding outside suppliers and vendors?
Outside DJs, decor, and vendors are allowed on the island. The venue does not permit outside drinks except for approved wine corkage (£100 for up to 10 bottles with management approval). Clients can bring their own entertainment and decorations for events.
What happens if my group size is below the minimum requirement?
If your event has fewer than 45 guests, Ravens Ait cannot accommodate the booking due to room size constraints. However, they will recommend their sister property Warren House Hotel which can host smaller events and will arrange for their colleague to contact you directly.
