Our beautiful period building, right in the heart of London, is the ideal intimate setting to organise your dream wedding for up to 100 guests. A combination of classic red brick with modern twists, the Royal Geographical Society's building was designed by famous architect Norman Shaw and stands the test of time to remain iconic today. We offer exclusive use of the Society's venue spaces on weekends and bank holidays for your special day, which includes the Main Hall, Map Room, Education Centre and four smaller private rooms.

Our state-of-the-art Ondaatje Lecture Theatre is fully equipped with award-winning AV systems to deliver successful and impactful in-person conferences, talks & meetings and to share content digitally with wider audiences. The Theatre stage has a maximum capacity of 700 and comfortably accommodates 450 delegates for an all-day conference. The nearby Map Room comes as a package with the Theatre and makes a stunning setting for refreshment & networking breaks accommodating up to 150 delegates standing. Additional catering space can be added with our Main Hall & Education Centre package.

Main Hall & Education Centre

The Main Hall is an original reception room to Lowther Lodge, built by William Lowther in 1874. From the ceramic fireplace tiles painted by Alice Lowther to the minstrel's gallery above, the Hall still showcases many of its original features today making it the ideal setting for evening receptions, summer or Christmas parties, intimate dinners and celebration events. Adjoining to the Hall, our Education Centre can be opened up for larger groups. Equipped with AV equipment, the room is also perfect for speeches & slideshows.
