The second largest space in the venue, and named after one of the greatest Britons, the Churchill is a highly versatile space, located on the ground floor. With a slightly raked floor, it has perfect views of the stage from all angles and is ideal for large scale conferences (in a variety of layouts including theatre, cabaret and classroom).

The Pickwick is included in the hire of the Churchill (subject to agreed minimum catering levels). Located on the first floor, it is suitable for drinks receptions, exhibitions and as a catering space.

The Churchill can accommodate up to 410 people in theatre style layout and is priced at approximately £15,000 excluding VAT for room hire. The space includes a permanent stage, slightly raked floor for optimal viewing, and built-in LED star cloth with moving lights.

The Churchill includes a comprehensive AV package: in situ stage with grey display suede stage set, front projection screen (16:9), standard top table for 4, black felted lectern, sound system with 2 wired lectern microphones, 4 wired top table microphones, 3 radio handheld microphones, digital MP3 recording onto CD, in situ induction loop, standard lighting system (6 lamps), WUXGA high-definition projector flown with lens and cold backup, 1 laptop PC with PC sound, 1 radio cue light, 2 wired talk-back headsets with base station, and 2 technicians (08:00–17:30, with 30-minute break).

Yes, the Pickwick is included in the hire of the Churchill subject to agreed minimum catering levels. Located on the first floor, it is suitable for drinks receptions, exhibitions and as a catering space.

The venue operates during standard hours of 08:00–18:00 with security, porterage, and cleaning service included during these times. The Centre is closed for the entire month of August and is unavailable for bookings during this period.

The venue hire package includes security, porterage, and cleaning service during standard operating hours (08:00–18:00), free visitor Wi-Fi, QEII Centre furniture (excludes exhibition furniture), manned cloakroom, QEII Delivery Team (Event Manager, AV Project Manager, QEII Taste Manager), dedicated registration area and registration desks, and Business Centre facilities.

No booking is considered confirmed until a contract has been signed by both parties and a deposit paid. All correspondence is subject to contract until binding contracts are validly concluded, and the QEII Centre accepts no responsibility for any costs incurred in connection with events until confirmation.

Some dates may be unavailable due to whole centre events that take priority over individual room bookings. The venue may only offer specific dates for events, and if requested dates are unavailable, alternative dates will be suggested or the venue may assist in finding alternative venues.

The venue offers a 10% discount on room hire rates in certain circumstances. This discount is included in proposals and applied to the base room hire costs.

Additional syndicate rooms are available including Gielgud (£3,780 excluding VAT), Burton and Redgrave Combined (£3,780 excluding VAT), Albert (£2,880 excluding VAT), and Victoria (£2,880 excluding VAT). Each includes AV package with motorised front projection screen, top table, lectern, sound system with microphones, induction loop, projector, and 1 technician (08:00–17:30).

To receive a quote, you must provide the company name the booking is on behalf of, specific event requirements, number of attendees, preferred dates, and budget information. The venue requires these details before sending across detailed proposals with availability and rates.
