Set within the prestigious Academy of Medical Sciences, the venue is conveniently located close to Oxford Circus, Regents Park & Great Portland Street. The Grade II* listed Georgian Townhouse provides event spaces that combine period grandeur and modern facilities, ideal for meetings, conferences, product launches, receptions, dinners and weddings. The venue is perfect for events between 5 - 120 guests. Profits generated through venue hire are used to fund activities run by the Academy.

Frequently asked questions

Weekend events have a minimum spend of £4,000 per day. This applies to all Saturday and Sunday bookings regardless of the event type or duration.

The Classic Full Day Delegate Package costs £80 plus VAT per person (or £65 plus VAT on Mondays and Fridays) with a minimum of 30 guests. This includes room hire 8am-5pm, arrival pastries, mid-morning refreshments, deli sandwich lunch, afternoon refreshments, screen and projector, Wi-Fi, flipchart, cloakroom, and directional signage.

The venue can accommodate a maximum of 60 people for seated meals. If your event requires more than 60 seated guests, you would need to consider alternative arrangements or reduce numbers.

Standard event access is typically 8am-5pm for day events. Evening events can run until 11pm, with late license available until midnight for an additional £500 plus VAT.

For workshops and meetings, the Laurie Landeau and Fellows rooms are recommended. For larger events, the Council Chamber and Reception room combination is suggested. For events requiring soundproofing or dancing, the Wolfson Conference Suite with Exhibition Area is available for an additional £700 plus VAT.

Several upgrades are available: healthy working lunch for £5.50 plus VAT per person, bowl food (5 bowls per person) for £11.50 plus VAT per person, and fork buffet lunch for £15.00 plus VAT per person. All upgrades have minimum number requirements.

The venue can provide background music through their PA system or arrange silent disco options. If you want a DJ for dancing, you can hire the Wolfson Room and Exhibition Area for £700 plus VAT, with DJ services starting from £850 plus VAT.

After initial enquiry, the venue provides a venue brochure, sample event menu, and bespoke proposal. You can request a provision hold on your preferred date and book a site visit to view the spaces before confirming.

December dates are available on a first-come, first-served basis due to high demand. The venue offers special Christmas packages and recommends booking early to secure preferred dates.

The reception-only wedding package costs £171 including VAT per person (based on 30 guests) and includes first floor venue hire 5pm-11pm, arrival nibbles, Prosecco, 5 canapés, 3 bowl foods, two-hour unlimited drinks, bar setup, uplighters, PA system, microphones, iPad with Spotify, reception team, security, and unmanned cloakroom.
