Space description

The Hall is decorated in the 17th century style and provides a wonderful, atmospheric setting for filming or photography. The Great chamber contains rare traditional Tudor wall paintings and the wisteria clad porch entrance provides an attractive walk up. The delightful grounds are a sight to behold throughout the seasons. With formal lawns, a traditional herb garden, an orchard and herbaceous borders, the site offers excellent opportunities for photographs. The site has been used for filming by the BBC on several occasions.

Located some six miles east of the city centre, Blakesley Hall (Grade II* listed) is a delightfully restored timber-framed Elizabethan house set amidst idyllic grounds and with fine period interiors. Built in 1590 for Richard Smallbroke, Blakesley Hall provides a marvellous insight into the social aspirations of the Tudor middle-classes. The delightful grounds are a sight to behold throughout the seasons.
