IMAX: The Ronson Theatre
IMAX: The Ronson Theatre is ideal for movie premiers and private screenings. This cinema comes with a screen the size of four double-decker buses, 11.5m-wide stage and 400-seat auditorium. The IMAX uses image maximum technology, a state-of-the-art surround system and one of the world's most sophisticated projectors, making it the ideal venue for events where content is key. Our IMAX projectionists can provide extensive support or work with your AV company to provide an unforgettable event. Daytime hire includes the use of the IMAX foyer and the Flight gallery for catering.
Flight
Styled as a replica hangar, the Flight gallery is available for both day-time events like meetings and conferences, and evening events like product launches, awards ceremonies, dinner and dancing & seasonal celebrations like summer parties and Christmas parties. Your guests can dine, dance and enjoy beneath the incredible icons of aviation in an ambient space that accommodates up to 350 guests for a dinner with a dance floor or 400 for a reception.

Designed by the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, this beautiful gallery is designed following the line of airflow around a Handley Page aircraft from 1923 suspended from the ceiling in a stunning display of imagined aerodynamics. Other objects in the gallery range from intriguing hand-held mathematical instruments to 18th-century human skulls. This gallery is uniquely designed so that your guests will have many talking points as they make their way around the exhibits. It is perfect for intimate dinners, drinks receptions and product launches.

It is perfect for a range of events from award ceremonies, Christmas parties, drinks receptions and charity dinners.

Located in the heart of the museum on the second floor, Information Age celebrates more than 200 years of innovation in information and communication technologies. Accommodating up to 50 people theatre style, Information Age is perfect for daytime and evening hire events including meetings, conferences, team building, breakfast meetings and much more. The gallery can be closed to the public on limited dates throughout the year and can be hired as part of a full museum hire.

Originally constructed in 1890, the Smith Centre has been elegantly preserved to present four spaces of varying size that suit a wide range of events such as intimate dinners, drinks receptions and product launches. Among the original features is an open-plan Courtyard area which can be enjoyed in conjunction with daytime hire of the Salon. During the summers, the Courtyard serves as an ideal space for an outdoor drinks reception followed by a seated dinner in the Salon. Accommodating 80 guests for a dinner and 200 guests for a reception, the Smith Centre provides versatility throughout.

Designed by WilkinsonEyre Architects, the five galleries cover 3000m2. The galleries look over our Making the Modern World gallery and feature work by artist Marc Quinn.

Located in the museum's West Hall, Space brings together remarkable exhibits that celebrate both the first space age and the future of space exploration. In the gallery, your guests will be surrounded by the Apollo 10 and Soyuz spacecraft, which in a world first are displayed side by side. Space is available for evening hire and ideal for drinks receptions for up to 400 people or dinner for up to 200.
