Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA)

Described as the 'cultural heartbeat of London' by Damien Hirst, the Institute of Contemporary Arts is an iconic and creative venue suitable for any event type. The ICA has two Regency period drawing rooms, a professionally equipped Theatre, two Art House Cinema screening rooms, Studio Space and Bar and Restaurant Facilities available to private hire with views overlooking The Mall, St James Park, Big Ben and the London Eye. All catering is provided by Arnold & Henderson who run the highly acclaimed Rochelle Canteen based in Shoreditch's Rochelle School, now at the ICA.

The Studio

The ICA Studio is a raw, industrial, urban space that has been designed as an area for reflection, discussion and creativity. A former artist's workshop, the space has been opened and adapted by RIBA award-winning 6a Architects who have also worked on projects for the South London Gallery, Raven Row and Studio Voltaire. All catering is provided exclusively by Arnold & Henderson.

A former artist's workshop, The Studio has been designed by RIBA award-winning 6a architects who have also worked on projects for the South London Gallery, Raven Row and Studio Voltaire. Due to the robust nature of the space and its variety of textures, The Studio is an venue space for creative workshops, presentations, meetings and drinks receptions. An range of in house Technical Equipment and Support is available. All catering is provided exclusively by Arnold & Henderson

Recently refurbished, the ICA Studio is a versatile and contemporary creative venue space benefiting from natural daylight and multiple powerpoints. The ICA's central location makes the Studio an excellent shoot space or base for filming and photography. The Studio can be accessed by a loading ramp leading directly from Carlton House Terrace. A range of in-house furniture is available and included in the venue hire. The Rochelle Canteen is open for refreshments Tuesday - Sunday from midday.

Nash & Brandon Rooms

The Institute of Contemporary Arts is located on the Mall between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. The Regency Period Nash and Brandon Rooms feature floor to ceiling windows that open out to three balconies overlooking St James's Park. These elegant spaces are ideal for product launches, receptions and dinners.

Situated in the heart of central London, the Institute of Contemporary Arts is a vibrant cultural venue with views over the Mall, Big Ben and London Eye. The Nash and Brandon Rooms feature floor to ceiling windows that open out to three balconies overlooking St James's Park. Designed by John Nash these beautiful and versatile spaces can host civil ceremonies and weddings for up to 90 guests seated in one room as well as stand up receptions and parties for up to 150 guests.

The ICA Theatre caters for all sorts of different events from gigs, theatrical productions and fashion shows to private parties and dinners. The ICA Theatre can be configured in many different ways and is a space with much scope for creative production and design. The space is offered on a dry hire basis and AV equipment and technical support can be provided if needed. The space holds up to 350 guest standing and 150 for dinners.

ICA Theatre is an excellent space for dinners, private events and presentations. The space holds 150 max for a sit down dinner of 350 for standing receptions. Technical support can be also be provided on request for the likes of live music entertainment & stage set up. Our partner company Arnold and Henderson are on hand to provide excellent food and atmosphere where all guests can relax and truly enjoy their experience at the ICA.

Cinema 1

The ICA offers comprehensive screening room services overseen by an experienced Projection team. Cinema 1 is ideal for press views, quality control screenings, private screenings or simply to enjoy a film. Cinema 1 can seat up to 185 guests and is wheelchair accessible.
