What are the room hire costs for the Compass Room dining space?

Evening hire of the Compass Room is £1,400 for 18:00-00:30. Day hire (12:00-18:00) is also £1,400. The room has a minimum booking requirement of 80 people and maximum capacity of 150 for dining events.

What are the mandatory catering requirements and minimum spend?

A minimum of 80 people for catering is required and must be included in the contract. Evening events require a minimum of a buffet - venue hire only is not available. Hot fork buffet starts from £16.75 per person, 3-course meals from £30.00-£34.00 per person for adults.

Can I bring my own caterer or external food?

External catering is only permitted for religious purposes. If approved, there is a separate dry hire package available for £4,500 which includes dry hire of the Compass Room and kitchen with furniture provided.

What is the booking process and deposit requirements?

You must sign and return the booking contract (pages 3 and 12 require signatures) to confirm the booking. Once the signed contract is received, a deposit invoice for room hire only will be sent to secure the date.

How does the venue handle competing bookings and date holds?

Dates can be put on 'joint first option' hold when multiple clients are interested. This means it operates on a first-come-first-serve basis, and other interested clients will be notified that someone else has enquired for the same date.

What dining setup options are available and how do they affect capacity?

The Compass Room accommodates 180 for dinner in standard setup. If you require space for dancing, capacity reduces to 160. The room is circular with floor-to-ceiling windows providing 360-degree views of the Quays.

What beverages and bar options are included?

Prosecco is £36.00 per bottle, wine from £24.00 per bottle, bottled beer £6.00 per bottle, and elderflower presse/juices £4.50 per litre. The room has its own private bar area as part of the self-contained space.

What additional services and amenities are included with the Compass Room?

The space is self-contained with private bathrooms, private bar, and private outdoor balcony space. Tea and coffee service is available for £2.25 per person, and canapés for £14.00 per person during arrival drinks receptions.

Are there specific dietary accommodations available?

The venue's chicken is certified halal. They have finger buffet options available and can accommodate various dietary requirements, though specific details should be discussed during event planning.

What are the venue's communication requirements after booking?

Once booked, communication should move away from the Hirespace platform to direct email contact. The Hirespace platform blocks additional email addresses, so all team members and vendors need to be included in direct venue correspondence.
