What are the room hire costs for business meetings and conferences?

The Pier Eight Room costs £995 + VAT for full day hire (08:00-18:00). Smaller meeting rooms include the South Room at £395 + VAT and North Room at £195 + VAT (reduced from £295 + VAT). The Hexagon Room is £850 + VAT for full day hire.

What is included in the Day Delegate Rate and what does it cost?

The Day Delegate Rate is £45.50 + VAT per person based on a minimum of 50 delegates. This includes hire of the Pier Eight Room & Foyer, basic AV (LCD projectors, PA system & wifi), arrival tea/coffee & Danish pastries, mid-afternoon tea/coffee & biscuits, buffet lunch (choice of hot or cold), jugs of iced water, and discount parking coupons.

What are the capacity limits for different room configurations?

The Pier Eight Room holds maximum 120 in theatre style and 64 in cabaret (80 on full rounds). The North and South Rooms each accommodate up to 14 in boardroom layout. The Compass Room requires minimum 80 people and maximum 150 for events.

What catering options are available and what are the costs?

Tea, coffee & pastries cost £5.25 + VAT per person per serving. Tea, coffee & biscuits are £3.25 + VAT per person. Buffet options start from £16.75 + VAT per person, with hot fork buffets also available from £16.75 + VAT per person.

What AV equipment is included and are there additional costs?

Basic AV is included in room hire and Day Delegate packages, consisting of LCD projectors, PA system and wifi. The Pier Eight Room has a LCD projector that projects onto the white wall for presentations. North and South Rooms have built-in screens and projectors and/or plasma displays.

What is the booking process and deposit requirements?

After agreeing to proceed, Lowry sends a booking contract that must be signed on pages 3 & 12 and returned. Once the signed contract is received, a deposit invoice is sent for room hire only. The booking is not confirmed until the signed contract is returned.

Are there minimum numbers required for catering?

Yes, there is a minimum catering requirement of 80 people for the Compass Room. The Day Delegate Rate requires a minimum of 50 delegates. Smaller meeting rooms like North and South Rooms don't appear to have minimum catering requirements mentioned.

What facilities are available for registration and networking?

The Pier Eight Room includes a foyer area that is ideal for registration, catering and displaying roller banners. The foyer is included in the room hire and provides space for welcome activities and refreshment breaks outside the main meeting room.

Yes, the Pier Eight Room can be used as one open space or split into two smaller rooms - Pier Eight 1 & 2. Each side has its own LCD projector, PA system and wifi. The North and South Rooms are also available as separate breakout spaces for up to 14 people each.

What are the limitations of the smaller meeting rooms?

The North and South Rooms are located on the ground floor and have no natural daylight. They accommodate maximum 14 people in boardroom layout but come equipped with built-in screens, projectors and/or plasma displays plus AV equipment.
