Couples choose to tie the knot at Richmond Theatre for a civil ceremony with a difference. You can choose to conduct the ceremony on the floor just in front of the stage where the registrar's table is set up or to stand on the stage in front of the red curtain as a backdrop or you may be able to obtain permission from the visiting production company in order to exchange vows on the set itself. Sets have ranged from a beautiful country garden to a set for a First World War complete with muddy trenches.
