We are fully licensed and have three operational bars on our ground floor. The Courtyard Houses our famous tube carriage cocktail bar, and there are bars in the restaurant and club areas. These spaces can be used independently or combined to cater up to 900-1,000 people. We have a well-equipped kitchen on site and the restaurant can be furnished for up to 120 covers. A stylish and fully functional indoor BBQ area is also available. We have an onsite cloakroom, serviced toilets with wedding emergency kit baskets available, and can provide high chairs as required.

Ground Floor Live RoomFrom £150 / Venue Fee | 200 Standing
The Ground Floor Live Room sits adjacent to the Courtyard and has direct street access via a separate entrance, there is also access internally through the venue. The room is best suited to live shows, performances, club nights and gigs though has been set up in many different ways - everything from wedding receptions to catwalk shows. Modular staging is available alongside full PA. The space works well as a separate party space at weddings and corporate events too.

The middle floor at The Islington Metal Works is primarily used as a nightclub and music led events space. It has a dark, quirky, industrial feel and is set over two rooms, a bar area and a larger dance floor. Though mostly used as a music led space we have hosted many different events here and the space can be used in lot's of ways. This area has it's own toilets ans access through to the top floor, ground level entrance and ground level foyer.

The Top floor is primarily used as a nightclub and live music space. There is a large stage at one end of the room, with toilets to the side. The back of the room has a raised seating platform, through a door at the rear is also another bar space with separate toilets. The room has an industrial, warehouse feel and PA throughout.

About The Islington Metal Works
The Islington Metal Works is a completely unique central London venue. Built in the late 19th Century our 30,000 sq. ft Victorian premises is conveniently located directly behind Angel tube station.
All 3 floors were initially used to house the horses that kept London's early public transport system moving. In 1925 the building was converted into a metal works, an element of the venue that we continue to operate to this day. The building is now restored creating a number of unique spaces frequently used for a variety of events, gigs, weddings, corporate events, exhibitions and much more...
