The Common Room accommodates up to 96 guests cabaret style with catering served in the room, 144 guests cabaret with catering in a different room, 150 theatre style with catering in the room, 180 guests theatre style with stage, or 244 theatre style with catering and breaks in an adjacent space. For seated dinners with stage setup, capacity is 180 guests on round tables.
What AV equipment is included and what are the additional costs?
Standard AV package costs £400 + VAT and includes stage, screen/projector, two repeater screens, lectern with lectern mic, and handheld mic. An AV technician is provided to assist with setup for conference packages.
What catering options and pricing are available through Graysons?
Two-course dinner costs £57 + VAT per person. Ceremony packages start at £52.50 + VAT per person (minimum 300 guests) including prosecco on arrival and 4 bowl food options. Christmas packages are £172 + VAT per person (minimum 50 guests) including 3-course dinner, drinks, and entertainment.
What are the standard event timings and access arrangements?
Events typically run 18:30-23:00 for evening events or 9:00-17:00 for day events. Organizers receive early access one hour before the event start time. The venue is closed to the public on weekends, making it fully private for events.
What is included in the DDR (Day Delegate Rate) packages?
DDR packages start from £60 + VAT per person (minimum 100 guests) and include room hire 9:00-17:00, arrival refreshments, executive lunch, AV equipment, filtered water, dedicated team, cloakroom facilities, Wi-Fi, and digital signage. Conference DDR is £103.50 + VAT per person with additional AV and staging.
Are there any restrictions on decorations, entertainment, or external suppliers?
The venue provides Christmas decorations and theming for seasonal events including Great Gatsby, Starry Nights, and Candy Cane Lane themes. They work with external suppliers for additional entertainment, photo booths (from £950 + VAT), and can accommodate DJs and dance floors.
What security and staffing arrangements are mandatory?
Security is included in all evening packages and DDR rates. A dedicated team is provided on the day for all events. Reception security team welcomes guests on arrival and notifies the events team.
What are the booking and payment procedures?
The venue offers provisional holds for 7 days while clients consider options. Site visits can be arranged between 09:30-16:30 on weekdays. All pricing is quoted plus VAT, and the venue requires confirmation of final guest numbers for accurate costing.
What facilities are included with room hire?
