RSA House can accommodate up to 200 guests for a wedding ceremony or drinks reception, and up to 140 guests for a seated wedding breakfast. The Great Room is the primary ceremony space, while the Vaults can host evening receptions for up to 220 guests with dancing and entertainment.

What are the room hire costs for wedding events?

Weekend weddings require exclusive hire of the venue, with costs around £12,000 + VAT to open the house on weekends when normally closed. Specific room hire rates vary by space and duration, with additional costs for audio-visual packages starting from £940 + VAT including projector, screen, stage, and AV technician support.

What catering options and minimum spends apply for weddings?

RSA House does not offer dry hire and requires all catering to be provided in-house with no external catering permitted. Wedding packages include options for sparkling wine receptions, three-course meals, and drinks packages, with specific minimum catering spends that must be met or exceeded.

Can we accommodate live entertainment and bands for our wedding reception?

Yes, bands up to six pieces work well in the Vaults spaces for evening receptions. The venue can provide DJ services and has space for dancing, with music typically required to end by 11:45pm unless extended for additional fees.

How far in advance do we need to book and what is the holding process?

RSA House can hold dates for up to two weeks while you decide on the venue. If they need a decision sooner, they will give you 48 hours to either confirm with a signed contract or release the date.

What audio-visual equipment is included for wedding ceremonies and speeches?

The Great Room has built-in stage, customizable uplighters, and audio-visual equipment. Additional handheld or lapel microphones are available from £68 + VAT each, and wireless uplighters from £22 + VAT each (maximum of 16, subject to availability).

Are there restrictions on decorations and personalization for weddings?

The Vaults offer opportunities to personalize and brand the space by hanging materials from designated strips on walls or using low-tac vinyl to cover existing white walls. The venue provides uplighter packages to wash the exposed brick with colors of your choice.

What happens if we want to extend our wedding reception beyond standard hours?

Venue hire extensions are available from midnight to 1am for £2,250 + VAT or midnight to 2am for £4,500 + VAT. DJ services can be extended past 11:45pm to 1:45am latest for £195 + VAT per hour.

What drinks packages are available for wedding receptions?

Options include sparkling wine receptions, half bottles of house wine with meals, and unlimited drinks packages for house wine, bottled beers and soft drinks from £30.50 + VAT per person. House spirits can be added for £10 + VAT per person per hour, and cocktails are available from £12 + VAT each.

What additional services are included with wedding bookings?

Wedding packages include dedicated Event Coordinator and Event Manager, private manned cloakroom, entrance access from the Strand, poseur tables with black linen and tea lights, dance floor, and service charges. The venue also provides tea, coffee and petit fours.
