The Box at Ministry of Sound

The Box turns a conference into an occasion. Up to 300 sit theatre-style beneath an overhead rig with screens built in, so keynotes, films and slides fill the room, and a sound system designed for this space carries every voice to the back row. The lighting shifts with the agenda, focused for sessions and warmer for breaks. The Lounge above makes a private green room for speakers, The 103 next door handles registration and coffee, and when the last panel ends the same room is ready for the evening reception.

Ministry of Sound has been in Elephant & Castle since 1991, and the same building now hosts events of every kind. Hired as a whole venue, its six connected spaces hold up to 1,550 guests, so an event can move from drinks in The 103 to a keynote or dinner in The Box and on to an after-party without leaving the building. One of the UK’s most advanced sound and lighting systems runs throughout, with an in-house production team on every booking. Ideal for conferences, awards, product launches, filming, and summer and Christmas parties.
