Frequently asked questions

The Carlton Room costs £1,500+VAT for evening events (6pm-11pm access) and £2,200+VAT for daytime events (12:30-6pm access). This includes room hire for up to 48 delegates in cabaret style or 105 in theatre style, projector and screen, sound system with 2 microphones, Wi-Fi, and AV team support upon arrival and on call.

The Carlton Room accommodates up to 105 delegates in theatre style, 60 guests for seated dining events, and 48 delegates in cabaret style. The room features natural daylight from floor-to-ceiling windows and has facilities on the same floor with a private catering space next door.

Catering minimum is 35-55 people depending on the package selected. Christmas packages start at £126+VAT per person (minimum 70 guests) including room hire, glass of sparkling on arrival, eight canapés or four bowl food items, and three-hour unlimited house drinks. Standard banquet options include hot fork lunches from £38+VAT per person with plant-based/vegetarian and meat/fish options.

Optional AV extras include external AV fee (£500+VAT), additional microphones (£45+VAT each), flipchart with pads and pens (£25+VAT), clicker (£25+VAT), repetiteur plasma screens for back audience (£160+VAT each, 2 available), AV tech for 4 hours (£400+VAT), and additional AV tech hours (£80+VAT per hour).

Yes, additional access from 7am or up to 11pm costs £500+VAT per hour, subject to availability. Standard access times are typically 6pm-11pm for evening events and daytime events run 12:30-6pm, but extended hours can be arranged for setup, breakdown, or longer events.

Drinks options include 1-hour unlimited house drinks with nibbles (£23.50+VAT per person), 1-hour unlimited drinks with 6 canapés (£41.50+VAT per person), and cocktail packages with house cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks (£35.50+VAT per person). Christmas packages include 3-hour unlimited house drinks as standard.

External catering is not permitted on the premises - all catering must be supplied by the in-house caterer Vacherin. The venue has a recessed credenza for seamless catering service and a private catering space next door to the Carlton Room for food preparation and service.

Spaces can be held on option for 5 working days while you make your decision. The venue requires responses within specific timeframes - if no response is received by the stated deadline, bookings are released and offered to other clients. Site visits can be scheduled during the option period.

The venue allows in-house decorations for Christmas events and can accommodate entertainment like DJs (£650+VAT). The Carlton Room is a designated event space, so no one can walk through during your event. Setup and breakdown times must be within the hired room times unless additional access hours are purchased.

Weekend room hire rates are significantly higher - weekend hire costs £3,500+VAT per day compared to standard weekday rates. The venue indicates that budgets under this amount cannot be accommodated for weekend events, making weekday bookings more cost-effective for most corporate events.
