Space description
In a previous life, Dovedale Towers was the home to Andrew George Kurtz, head of the Liverpool Philanthropic Society. On the first floor of his residence, he housed a large gallery of of Pre-Rapaelite Artwork (including works by Sir Frederic Leighton). The natural light from the large bay windows created the perfect setting to allow him to present his collection to the public. In its present form, we use this setting to house prints from Edward Robert Hughes and John Everett Millias, as well as several nods to popular culture icons synonymous with the area and venue.
