Room hire costs vary depending on the type of event, room required, number of delegates, duration and specific requirements. Spaces are available on hourly, half-day and full-day rates. For recurring bookings, longer-term arrangements or specific types of events, tailored rates may be available. Catering and refreshments can be arranged separately according to your requirements. The Nishkam Centre has access to kitchen facilities, but catering must be arranged through caterers on the venue's approved provider list. Organisers should discuss their catering requirements with the Conference & Events team in advance. In keeping with the values of the Nishkam Centre, delegates are kindly requested not to bring meat, fish or egg products onto the premises. The Centre is also conveniently located close to Soho Road, with a range of local shops and food outlets approximately 5–8 minutes' walk away.

The Nishkam Centre offers a range of flexible spaces to accommodate different types and sizes of events: Conference Hall: Up to 200 delegates theatre-style Seminar Room: Up to 40 delegates theatre-style or approximately 25 boardroom-style Training Rooms: Approximately 20–30 delegates, depending on the room and layout Spaces can be configured to suit conferences, training, workshops, meetings, seminars and networking events. Our Conference & Events team can recommend the most suitable space based on your delegate numbers and event format.

There is no standard minimum booking commitment for recurring events however book in advance to reserve the room. Rooms can be booked on an hourly, half-day or full-day basis, depending on the space and requirements. For organisations requiring regular or longer-term bookings, tailored or preferential rates may be available depending on the frequency, duration and nature of the booking.

To secure a booking, please contact the Conference & Events team to discuss your requirements and confirm availability. Once the date, timings, room layout and any additional requirements have been agreed, you will be asked to complete and return the Nishkam Centre booking form. Once the booking has been accepted, the Conference & Events team will confirm the arrangements and advise you of the next steps.

A deposit may be required, depending on the type and nature of the event. In some circumstances, full payment may be requested prior to the event. Where appropriate, a provisional booking can be held for an agreed period, with the Conference & Events team advising on the applicable holding period. Where payment is not required in advance, the agreed charges will generally be invoiced following completion of the event, in accordance with the payment terms provided. The applicable payment arrangements will be confirmed as part of the booking process.

The Nishkam Centre is normally open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. However, we offer flexibility around event timings and can consider earlier starts, later finishes and evening bookings, depending on the nature and requirements of the event. Weekend bookings are also available, subject to availability and the requirements of the event. Please contact the Conference & Events team to discuss your preferred timings.

The Nishkam Centre is a values-led, community-focused venue and all events should respect the ethos and policies of the Centre. No smoking is permitted within the building or on the premises. Alcohol may not be sold or served as part of events. Meat, fish and egg products should not be brought onto the premises. Catering must be arranged through caterers on the venue's approved provider list. The use of aesthetics, decorations, displays, signage or other visual installations must be discussed and agreed with the Conference & Events team in advance. Event organisers are responsible for putting up and removing their own decorations, displays and materials must leave the room clean, tidy and in the same condition in which it was found. Any specific activities or event arrangements should be discussed with the Conference & Events team before the booking is confirmed.

The Nishkam Centre offers flexible room layouts to suit different meeting, training and event requirements. Depending on the room, options can include theatre-style, boardroom, classroom and cabaret-style layouts. Cabaret-style seating can be particularly effective for workshops and interactive sessions, encouraging delegate engagement and collaboration. Our Conference & Events team can work with you to identify the most appropriate layout based on your delegate numbers, event format and objectives.

There are no mandatory additional costs beyond the agreed room hire fee for standard use of the venue and its facilities. Standard AV facilities, including TV/plasma screens and Wi-Fi, are included at no additional charge. Bottled water is also provided free of charge. Catering and refreshments are additional and can be arranged according to your requirements. Any specific or additional services required for your event will be discussed with you in advance and clearly included within your quotation, so there should be no unexpected charges.
