esea Studio
The creative nature of the building means it's an ideal place to hold a preview event or creative talk, seminar or workshop. We will happily cross promote any creative or cultural events we feel match our brand. The space is fully flexible with a removable partition wall that can be used for breakout sessions or added privacy in meetings. esea contemporary has close public transport links.
Gallery
Gallery would be an ideal space to be used as a film and photo location. The large and open 125sm of floor space mean that there is more than enough space for all the equipment and crew required for this type of use. Additionally it is a blank canvas upon which you are able to adjust to your needs. The location is at the back of our building which means that it is away from the interference of street noise. Additional spaces or a whole building hire are options that will provide you with storage locations, dressing rooms and alternative film and photo areas as needed.

With its convenient street access and generous windows, the Communal Project Space is the smaller and more affordable of our two exhibition-dedicated spaces. Well suited to a variety of creative arts used the venue is highly versatile. Upcoming availability: November to December 2023. This space has one large wall that can be used to show works and would be well suited as an add-on space if you are looking to also hire our Gallery venue

esea contemporary(Previously named Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art) is the UK's only non-profit art centre specialising in presenting and platforming artists and art practives that identify with and are informed by East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) cultural backgrounds.
Our RIBA award-winning building located in central Manchester’s buzzing Northern Quarter provides the perfect venue for all sorts of events.
We have are able to offer a dedicated meeting room space, a exhibition gallery and two breakout rooms. Whole building hire is also an option.
