Spaces at Whitechapel Gallery

The incredible wood-panelled Auditorium is available to hire out in the evenings and all day on Mondays. Turner Prize nominee Liam Gillick used Kvadrat fabrics to design the seating for the auditorium, and the space is fully equipped with state-of-the-art AV equipment. It also includes a stage, making it a flexible and ideal space for talks, film screenings and presentations.

Gallery 2 is the historic central reading room of the former Whitechapel Library. This columned space with original Victorian brickwork, polished concrete floor and architectural light wells, is a stunning setting for dinners and drinks receptions. Gallery 2 is also the commission space at the Whitechapel Gallery. This means that clients are offered the opportunity to entertain alongside new and critically acclaimed pieces of artwork, making for particularly memorable events.

An intimate, modern space designed by Turner Prize nominee Liam Gillick, the Gallery's Café Bar offers a distinctive space for entertaining. The space is closed to the public during the evening and makes for a great, flexible event space, perfect for evening receptions, film screenings and meetings. It also serves as the ideal break-out space when hired in conjunction with other spaces in the Gallery.

The Study Studio is bright, airy space on the second floor of the Gallery, with an abundance of natural light. Entirely private and unique, it holds four stunning artworks from the Gallery’s social sculpture series, including the Anni Ratti water fountain. Furnished with designer wooden Artek Furniture and fully equipped for presentations, the Study Studio is perfectly suited to meetings. It also provides an intimate dinner or events venue.

The Clore Creative Studio provides a gorgeous, flexible space in the Education Tower of the expanded building. The floor-to-ceiling windows in this penthouse studio open up to a private balcony with views of the Gherkin and the London skyline. It is the perfect backdrop to drinks receptions, dinners and events. Two magnetic walls are perfect for presentation materials.
