A tour of the Ground is an ideal way to experience the magic of Lord’s, and can be incorporated into any of our events. Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides take guests behind the scenes of the Home of Cricket, visiting the Honours Boards in the Players’ Dressing Rooms, the Long Room and the iconic J.P. Morgan Media Centre.
The elegantly furnished Writing Room is a beautifully proportioned and intimate setting for smaller lunches, dinners or receptions. Hung with famous paintings of cricketing scenes, it offers excellent views of the Ground from the north end of the Pavilion.
The Harris Garden is a charming rose garden laid out on the former site of a lawn tennis court near the entrance to the Pavilion. Constructed in 1934 in memory of the renowned cricketer and politician, Lord Harris, it is a tranquil oasis in the heart of London, and forms a lovely alfresco venue for receptions and summer barbeques.
The Long Room, fronting the Pavilion, is a world-famous sight at Lord’s – international cricket players pass through it on their way onto and off the field of play. A magnificent backdrop for elegant Christmas parties, private dining, lunches and receptions, it has high, ornate ceilings and is fronted by glass. Its walls are lined with fine paintings celebrating the game from the 18th century to the present day. The adjoining Long Room Bar can also be used as a characterful drinks reception area.
The Tavern Meeting Rooms are on the second tier of the Tavern Stand, with magnificent views of the pitch from the balcony. On match days, these ten rooms are the private boxes from which celebrity guests can sip champagne and view the game. Throughout the rest of the year, they are an outstanding space for syndicate rooms or for smaller meetings.
Located next to the Grace Gate, and overlooking the Pavilion and the Harris Garden, the Thomas Lord Suite combines considerable style with ease of use. With natural daylight and open-plan flexibility, it is a large and versatile venue that can suit different sizes of groups and is an ideal setting for birthday parties, Christmas parties, receptions and weddings. The space is also available as a dry hire with selected outside caterers.
Built to celebrate the new millennium at Lord’s, the J.P. Morgan Media Centre became an instant icon in the world of cricket. The preserve of journalists and commentators on match days, it offers a great opportunity for unconventional entertaining, with panoramic views of the Ground. Any event in this amazing structure is an exhilarating and memorable experience. It’s a striking environment for meetings, seminars, conferences and product launches.
The world’s oldest sporting museum, housing an unrivalled collection of cricketing art and memorabilia, is an entertaining and distinctly unusual venue for a drinks reception. It is often used in conjunction with the Long Room as a location for pre-dinner drinks, and can also form an added attraction for the guests of other events held within the Ground. Filled with over 30,000 exhibits, the Museum is a treasure house that intrigues cricket fans and agnostics alike.
Running the whole length of the Pavilion, the Roof Terrace is a beautiful and airy space with a long balcony and remarkable views of the Ground. Used by MCC Members on match days as a place to enjoy the cricket over a drink in the sun, it makes a dazzling and spacious North London venue for a summer drinks party or reception.
Seated next to the Pavilion, the floor to ceiling glazing ensures the space is flooded with natural light and offers spectacular views across the ground. Pelham's is at the heart of MCC's sustainability drive, including a rainwater recycling system, green walls and solar and photovoltaic panels. Ideal for meetings, conferences, dinners, receptions and lunches.
This place offers large windows that let the natural light in and a great view of the cricket pitch.
