Chop House menus are built around the long-established, personal relationships that Mark Hix has with his suppliers and use only responsibly produced, carefully sourced and simply served British seasonal ingredients. Wild and foraged ingredients are key to the menus Mark creates and the Glenarm Estate beef is sold exclusively to Mark by Peter Hannan. A must-try for any meat lover.

The Chop House is perfectly suited to large parties dining from our seasonal feast menus with semi-private areas within the restaurant, and the restaurant can also be booked out in its entirety.

Located in the heart of historic Smithfield, HIX Oyster & Chophouse was originally a sausage factory and then a fish restaurant, many of its original features remain. The wooden floors, marble oyster bar, tiled walls and linen tablecloths go towards creating an elegant yet unfussy dining room populates with art pieces from celebrated British artists.
