Christmas Parties

Characterful Christmases at The Postal Museum

It’s never too early to start planning your Christmas party, and with all lockdown restrictions (hopefully) a thing of the past, just think how great it'll feel to unveil that tree, uncork that bubbly and get all your friends, family and colleagues together to celebrate.

So where should you book? After all, your first post-pandemic Christmas party deserves a fantastic venue to match the occasion. You need somewhere unique, original, unforgettable… you need The Postal Museum!

Not only is The Postal Museum located just a short walk from Farringdon, Chancery Lane and Russell Square tube stations, but as a space dedicated to the story of the nation’s first social network, it’s also packed with history. Here are just a few ways in which an event here will be unlike any other.

Walks through the mail rail

The Mail Rail at The Postal Museum

The mail rail is a hidden, underground treasure that’ll have your guests oo-ing and ah-ing aplenty. We’re talking exposed brickwork, high vaulted ceilings, historical features and secret rail tunnels. The chance to wander through here with a glass of bubbly in hand is definitely an experience your guests won’t forget in a hurry. Or even better, why not arrange a ride on the mail rail itself? The opportunities are endless!

Outdoor festive toasts

How many London venues can count a stunning outdoor space alongside historic charm and high-spec event facilities?! Not many. So, all the more reason to book The Postal Museum for your Christmas party. Their outdoor courtyard is the perfect place to start the evening off with drinks and nibbles, before moving inside to continue the fun. We particularly love the beautiful living wall, with the addition of classic red post boxes to continue the quirky postal theme!

Dinner and party potential

The Courtyard at The Postal Museum

After your festive toasts and mail rail walks, all you need is somewhere to dine or party into the night. So, it’s lucky that The Postal Museum offers two amazing indoor event spaces. The Courtyard boasts a contemporary indoor area that’s perfect for the most sophisticated of soirees. With a capacity of 140 standing or 60 dining, it’s a space that’s full of possibilities.

Or, why not continue downstairs for an underground party? The mail rail offers a breathtaking space for drinks, entertainment and dancing the night away. With a capacity of 275 standing or 120 for a dinner dance, its original features and characterful architecture make it one of the coolest London event spaces we can think of!
