3D Virtual Venue Tours Will Be Essential In The New Normal

Everything is going to change in the events industry as we come out of lockdown – from lower capacities to screening for fever on arrival and an increased focus on hygiene and distancing measures. Here, we’re going to focus on just one of the things that will have to change post-lockdown: site visits.

The New Site Visit

With restrictions likely to carry on for several months, events teams are looking at ways to secure venues without having to attend site viewings. 3D tours are a great way to imagine the space without physically having to be there. Not only does this help you work around the current restrictions, but it will also save you time and money that would usually be spent organising and carrying out a site visit.

Take a look at our 3D tour for Lumiere London below.

What Are The Benefits?

There are tons of benefits to being able to offer a virtual site visit that will last long after the lockdown:

1. Better quality enquiries and better conversion

Allowing your clients to preview the layout of the venue and the spaces available will filter out the enquiries that just aren't suitable for the venue. This means you'll have more time to focus on the enquiries that are more likely to convert.

2. Save Time

As we come out of the lockdown and restrictions begin to lift on gatherings, we are expecting high demand for venue spaces. Time will be saved if an event organiser can run a virtual site visit with you over a call as opposed to arranging a physical site tour.

3. Providing a Better Service

Event organisers are constantly plagued with delays in the venue booking process, from waiting for venue responses, to getting approval from management, and updating requirements. We have found the better service a venue offers, the more likely a client is to book. So not only are you making your job easier, but also the client's.

Why Now?

The biggest challenge for a 3D shoot is finding a gap in the diary to access the space when it’s completely empty. Now is the time to get ahead and get your venue tour shot before business returns to normal, demand picks back up and the team has less capacity.

3D tours are typically part of our Prime marketing package, but for a limited time available to the whole community at a 70% discount. Businesses are still planning events for later in the year and 2021. Having a 3D tour will give them the confidence to book with you without having physically been to your venue.

How To Set Up A 3D Tour

We're offering a 70% discount on our usual pricing, making a 3-hour shoot just £510 (£170 per hour). This rate will vary depending on the size of your venue and the number of spaces. To claim your discount, email jake.b@hirespace.com, who'll arrange for us to visit and scan your venue with our Matterport 3D camera.
