The Studio Theatre is an adaptable, high spec space ideal for conferences, seminars and corporate events and breakfast briefings. The Theatre can seat up to 292 theatre style, 200 cabaret style or be configured as an empty space. For hire, the space is equipped with AV facilities and supported by a technician.
The Shakespeare Memorial Room was created for the city’s Victorian library by John Henry Chamberlain in 1882. Following restoration by local craftsmen, this historical space now commands an impressive position at the very top of the Library of Birmingham, level 9. Hire of the Shakespeare Memorial Room also includes exclusive use of the adjoining Skyline Viewpoint boasting stunning panoramic views across the city.
The Highlight / The Gallery, level 3 offers a fantastic space for drinks receptions for up to 100 people in the Highlight space adjacent to our exhibition gallery. Hiring this particular space can be combined with an exclusive viewing of the latest exhibition. Our Gallery exhibitions showcase some of the treasures from the library’s world-class archive, heritage and photography collections.

The Suites over look Centenary Square and into the Library of Birmingham. They are fully air-conditioned and have great natural daylight. They can hold 200 theatre style or 90 cabaret as one space.
Unique Venues Birmingham (UVB) is a new commercial venture between Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the Library of Birmingham to exploit the excellent conferencing and hospitality opportunities offered within the shared building on Century Square in the centre of the city. UVB portfolio includes auditoria presenting huge dramatic and creative possibilities, a five storeys high rotunda and a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across the city.
