Space description

The Dining Room is situated on the ground floor of the Mansion House, and has been the home of raucous parties and decadent dining for nearly 300 years.

In the same space that entertained Prince Albert and the Prince Regent, invite your guests to an intimate dinner, a great banquet, private celebration, or a breath-taking meeting space.

Surrounded by Civic regalia - swords, mace, chains and caps - with vast 17th-century windows overlooking St Helen's Square, this is a remarkable space for any occasion.

More about York Mansion House

York Mansion House is one of York's most spectacular event spaces. Built in 1732 for the Lord Mayor of York, this remarkable home has hosted royalty, and acted as the social hub of the city, bringing people together in decadent celebration.

Following a multi-million pound restoration, the house reopened in 2018, and is now available for you to discover. Across four floors, explore vast halls and cosy historic kitchens, the intimate dining room and the elegant drawing room. All spaces are available for hire, creating a beautiful backdrop for your celebration, wedding, meeting, or banquet.
