What are the room hire costs for the Business space and what's included?

The Pier Eight Room costs £995 + VAT for full day hire (08:00-18:00). This includes basic AV equipment (LCD projector, PA system, WiFi), and access to the foyer area for registration and refreshments. The room has floor-to-ceiling windows with waterside views and a private outdoor terrace.

What are the catering minimum requirements and pricing?

The Compass Room requires a minimum of 80 people for catering. Hot fork buffet starts from £16.75 + VAT per person, while 3-course meals start from £30-34 + VAT per person. Tea, coffee & pastries cost £5.25 + VAT per person, and tea, coffee & biscuits cost £3.25 + VAT per person.

What is the booking process and deposit requirements?

After agreeing to proceed, Lowry sends a booking contract that must be signed on pages 3 & 12 and returned. Once the signed contract is received, a deposit invoice is sent for room hire only. The booking is not confirmed until the signed contract is returned.

Can I bring my own external caterers?

External catering is only allowed for religious purposes. If this applies, there's a separate dry hire package available for £4,500, which includes dry hire of the space and kitchen with furniture provided.

What are the capacity limits for different room configurations?

The Pier Eight Room accommodates up to 120 in theatre style and 64 in cabaret (80 on full rounds). The Compass Room has a minimum of 80 people and maximum of 150-180 depending on setup. For dancing in the Compass Room, capacity reduces to 160.

How does the booking hold system work?

Dates can be put on hold, but if another client is also interested, it becomes a 'joint first option' situation on a first-come-first-serve basis. The venue will inform other holding clients when someone else enquires about the same date.

What are the Day Delegate Rate packages and what do they include?

The Day Delegate Rate is £45.50 + VAT per person (minimum 50 delegates) and includes room hire, basic AV, arrival tea/coffee/pastries, mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshments, buffet lunch, jugs of iced water, and discount parking coupons.

Are there any restrictions on communication during the booking process?

Once you've booked through Hirespace, it's better to communicate directly via email rather than through the Hirespace platform, as the platform blocks additional email addresses when trying to CC colleagues or team members into conversations.
