Nave 16 at Matadero Madrid

NAVE 0 is a unique rectangular space located within Matadero Madrid, characterized by its original architectural layout and historical significance. Inaugurated in 2007, this 881 m2 venue retains its former identity as a cold store from the municipal slaughterhouse, featuring 36 reinforced concrete pillars that create five distinct sections. The space is adorned with nine horseshoe arches that support a brick vault, and it showcases its original hydraulic tile floor, along with remnants of a fire from the 1990s. NAVE 0's diaphanous structure, with cantilevered arches and columns, provides an intimate atmosphere, making it an ideal location for a variety of events, including exhibitions, cultural activities, and private gatherings. The minimal intervention policy has preserved its historical character while allowing for modern uses, making it a versatile choice for event organizers.
