The Grade II listed Banking Hall is guaranteed to impress your guests. Designed in the 1930s with a unique Art Deco charm, the space is ideal for dinners, standing receptions and parties, conferences, wedding receptions and ceremonies from 50 to 700 guests. This stunning venue has been paired with exquisite menus and the very best service to ensure you and your guests have an exceptional experience from start to finish.
The Vault is Old Billingsgate's hidden gem. Concealed beneath the banks of the Thames, The Vault once housed the icy cold store below Billingsgate Fish Market. It's exposed brickwork and vaulted ceilings create a unique atmosphere that is in great contrast with The Grand Hall. It's ideal for distinctive sit-down dinners, parties, conferences and makes for an exceptional filming location. Concealed in the centre of The Vault is The Well, a contained space with high ceilings. It's the perfect place to party!
The King George III Room, named after his royal visit in 1787, is a unique venue with period features including a barrel vaulted ceiling and exposed brickwork. On the ground floor, the room is directly accessible from the reception and the loading bay, and is joined to the Lower Sugar Room and the Queen Charlotte. The space can hired individually, or together with the Porter Tun for bigger events. The room has solid oak flooring.
Opened by Queen Victoria in 1845, the Great Hall, complete with striking fresco, minstrel's gallery and a ceiling of beautifully worked oak, is described as one of the most impressive surviving buildings of its kind in London and provides a spectacular setting for all types of events. Suitable for receptions for up to 450 guests, dinners for up to 250 guests, lectures and ceremonies for up to 300 guests and wedding receptions and dinner dances for up to 200 guests. The adjoining Bench Rooms and an east facing terrace overlooking impressive grounds is perfect for arrival receptions.
The Minories suite is ideal for large parties, dinner dances and wedding receptions, or company AGMs or training days. An elegant panelled room decorated in early Georgian style and hung with paintings from the museum's collection. This event space is ideal for a wide range of events from meetings and talks to private dining and intimate receptions. This room can be used independently or combined with private views of the galleries and gardens. With a drop down screen, projector and blackout blinds, the space can be used for business events and presentations throughout the day and evening.
This magnificent room contains many of the grand paintings given to the Foundling Hospital in the 1740's, including Captain Thomas Coram, 1740, which is considered to be one of Hogarth's finest portraits. The Picture Gallery is perfect for private dinners, charity balls or larger drinks receptions. An atmospheric space which tells the fascinating story of space exploration this out-of-this-world gallery is available for evening hire. It is perfect for a drinks reception for up to 300 people, or invite up to 180 guests to dine beneath real rockets. Your guests can marvel at a full-sized replica of the 'Eagle', the lander that took astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin to the moon in 1969 and discover how they could live in space with displays of astronauts' food and drink.
