The Stage at Rich Mix

The Studio costs £1,525 + VAT for a 5-hour evening hire (6:30pm-11:30pm) including one bar staff member. Screen 3 cinema hire costs £700 + VAT for a 2-hour daytime screening or £550 per hour for evening hire. The Streetside room (dry hire only) costs £600 + VAT per day plus a £400 refundable damage deposit. All spaces have a 4-hour minimum hire requirement.

A technician costs £125 + VAT for a 5-hour hire period and is mandatory for most events. Basic projection costs £75 + VAT, PA system with 4 microphones costs £155 + VAT. Additional service staff cost £396 + VAT for two staff members. One event services staff member is included complimentary with most bookings.

The Studio can accommodate up to 100 guests in tiered seating with space for an additional 50 chairs in front. Screen 3 holds up to 59 guests and is wheelchair accessible with 2 designated spots. The Boardroom and Lab spaces have a maximum capacity of 20 people each. For fashion shows, maximum seated capacity with catwalk space is 100 guests.

The Streetside room prohibits amplified music due to noise restrictions and is non-exclusive as it has stairs accessing escape rooms. Other spaces like The Studio appear to allow amplified music for events like concerts and parties. The venue closes at 9pm, so all events must end by this time.

Rich Mix offers internal catering with refreshment stations at £3.50 + VAT per person per service and drinks tokens at £5 + VAT each covering beer, wine, or soft drinks. External caterers are permitted but incur a 10% corkage fee. The venue does not have a usable kitchen, so external suppliers handle dinner services.

Rich Mix offers a 20% discount to registered charities, but you must provide a registered charity number to qualify. The venue does not allow discounts to be made through Hire Space platform. For events booked directly, budget expectations typically range from £1,500-£2,000 minimum.

The venue will hold dates provisionally while quotes are being considered, but will release dates if no response is received by a specified deadline (typically giving about a week's notice). For events requiring significant budget discussions, they prefer phone calls to finalize details before putting together formal quotes.

The venue is open 9am-9pm for events. Setup time can be included in hire periods - for example, a charity event quote included 4pm access for a 6pm start. External decorations are permitted. The venue provides 6ft trestle tables with black linen for £80 + VAT for 10 tables (suitable for exhibitor stands). The Studio includes a 7m x 3.5m stage.
