We're now over halfway through our crowdfunding campaign and almost 80% of the way towards our target from over 100 investors. Many of those have been from the event professionals we work with on a day-to-day basis, so we took a quick five minutes away from the campaign to chat to Marie Froger, Event Sales Manager at Belgraves about why she chose to invest in Hire Space.
1. Why did you decide to list Belgraves on Hire Space?
Although we're part of a larger group, we see ourselves as a small boutique hotel with a unique identity. We chose to list on Hire Space as it gave us a way to market ourselves within the industry that hadn't really existed before. I think that's so important for smaller hotels and venues, it's really opened up the venue-finding market.
2. We've been working with Belgraves for a while now, how does Hire Space help you day to day?
I work closely with the Venue Experts, almost daily. They have visited the hotel on numerous occasions and are really well acquainted with our offering and the types of events we want, as well as which ones suit us best. We also work closely with the team on marketing; making our profile more visible on the website and getting us in front of a specific audience that we couldn't reach ourselves.
3. What made you take the next step and invest in our crowdfunding campaign?
We think it's really exciting that a company has chosen to raise funds in this way, it's not something that happens that often in the industry. Creating a community of event professionals shows how much Hire Space values its users and customers and their input, that's something we felt we wanted to be a part of. We've seen real benefit from working with the team, so investing in them seemed like a logical next step.
4. What do you see as the benefits for you?
By investing, we'll continue to see the company grow and improve their offering; that can only be a good thing for us. It also means we can work more closely with Hire Space and we get some really great rewards in the process, particularly the discounts on marketing packages, that is something that will benefit us hugely. We can't wait to see what happens next!
