Hotel du Vin Edinburgh is a four-star boutique hotel at 11 Bristo Place in the historic Old Town, close to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The hotel occupies a former poorhouse, asylum and science lab and has 47 bedrooms, including Classic, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Suite and Signature Suite rooms. Rooms feature custom-made sleigh beds, hand-sprung mattresses and monsoon showers, and some have a roll-top bath. Dining is provided by the Bistro du Vin kitchen, with an al fresco courtyard in summer, and the bar and Whisky Snug offer evening drinks. The hotel has an extensive wine cellar and meeting rooms on site, and it offers catering for events, room blocks and group rates for groups. Early check-in and late check-out are available, and the hotel is wheelchair accessible.
